Ultimates, at least until cross-datacenter party/dungeon finder hits.

The struggle of finding 0 people who want to start raids at 9PM pacific is real, and I have waaaay too much invested on coeurl to transfer datacenters.

Voice chat used by my main LS in FFXI had 0 in game related conversation when doing end game content.
Raided world-firsts in EQ and WoW, voice chat was 75% people being silly, 20% someone going "guys, pay attention, doing loot", 4% laughing at the raid leader going down the wrong hallway on accident, and 1% anything relevant to raids, which was entirely in our late night or 10man group.

Voice chat in a majority of content is unnecessary.

I have never done a hunt ever, and i've been playing since ARR. Like i forget they even exist.

I have no intention of leveling a crafter ever. It takes everything i have to level one profession on my main in wow each expansion.

Also savage raids/ex primals. I have time to raid in one game and it's not this one. Besides, the rigid nature of progression raiding isn't something i'm a fan of. I'm super casual here. Like, i have no doubt i could do well here, but i'm just not up for it. I have solo healed Ravana EX in HW because one of my FC peeps needed a hand, it was pretty easy, and in either ARR or HW i did queue up for Odin (not realizing the difficulty), but that was as much as i did.

Ultimate raids really don't feel like my cup of tea.

For the time it takes to clear one I feel like there are more interesting achievement rewards I could be working on instead.

Ultimate - since I quite savage raiding due to SE's network infrastructure being too frustrating to deal with.
PvP - Always hated it with a passion of a thousand suns.
Most of the gold Saucer herp-a-derp. Just don't care.

I can think of a few things like Ultimate and Gold Saucer events.

Ultimate is pretty self-explanatory. I use to raid back in day, but after watching a video of people attempting to clear Ultimate raids, I immediately thought: "SO MANY COLORS!!! Realizing that I cared for my blood pressure and noped out of that thought process.

Never looked back again. Congrats to those who cleared it though, hotdang.

As for Gold Saucer, I just eventually gave up and decided that the Cloud card and the mounts will forever stay in the seller's inventory screen forever mocking me. Even with MGP practically being tossed at you at your feet nowadays, I will typically look at it on the floor and go "huh? Did I grind for my poetics this week?" and completely ignore and forget any of the events that are currently happening.

I'm just a terrible spender. The highest MGP count I had was 500k and saw some glamour and dances and spent all of it. The lottery doesn't do anything for me either, because in all the attempts I've given, I've been met with the best prize of all: Forgetting I had a ticket and got the good 'ol consolation prize!

Savage and Ultimate. I did my hardcore raiding time back in EQ. Nights were either spent raiding or doing things to prepare to raid on the other nights. So I've gone the opposite and I choose not to have a schedule now. If I've got a goal then I will work obsessively at it until complete. I'm also an omni-crafter on multiple characters before Ishgard. So it's not a time expenditure thing. Not a skill thing. I could pick up the patterns and react to them without any issues. It's that *I* want to choose what I do on a given night, not the expectations of others. So I'd be a horrible static member because I can go weeks playing every night for hours each night and then not be on for a week while I'm playing some console game that interested me. And I have no interest in doing anything to change that.

As to the voice chat thing, yeah, my raid alliance in EQ didn't use voice chat. We had the all-raid chat channel and then we had specific chat channels for classes so we could sync casts. But a lot of the time we were clowning around in shout.

    Shame on you

For me it’s savage, used to raid a lot in other MMOs but ff14 raiding is so god awful it’s regulated to platform fights rather than ...you know raiding! I can do Normal and I’ll admit the trials are fun the apex being Sigmascape (Which is scaled so poorly it’s not even fun anymore) but I will never do savage until some hardy reworking is done
