It's probable that someone is going to come out on top in the power struggle that's happening in the capital sooner then later, and I think it's likely that they're going to issue a swift retaliatory strike against Eorzea and its allies after what the general populace of Garlemald perceived as a surgical strike against their rulership (Assuming they don't wise up and figure out Zenos was the real culprit).

Their research is also starting to go off into very dangerous territory that's making them an even bigger threat to everyone then before (Themselves included). The artificial primals involved in the Weapon project seem like something that could snowball into a potentially Calamity-inducing problem if Ascian foolery gets involved.

Let's not forget the Black Rose, or the Resonant.

So, it's highly probably that incredible foes await us there (with one of the brood of Midgardsormr), and I speculate on an Egyptian theme there (like some beast in FFXIII : Lightning Return).

I'm preety sure the beast in question is the Shabti, which incidentally is encountered a few times in Allagan areas such as Azys Lla.
