Ah, the Musketeers or Corsairs. A Relic from 1.0. We have no indication or knowledge if they are, or were ever gonna be a job in XIV. Same with the Machinists. Still not a Hint as you claimed it to be.Go to Limsa go to the maruder guild stop outside the door and look at the flag one is a axe the other is duel wielding pistols a unfinished guild they never really used but should have go down the stairs and you see npcs being trained to shoot duel pistols
Also your incorrect gunblades have been a imperial thing since reborn Guise and many of the imperial troops walk around with gunblades. DO you even pay attention to their weapons?
also they are blue mages not because of a name but because 1st off duel weilding swords with that shape and 2nd off THEIR ATTACKS ARE ALL NAMED MONSTER SLASH LIONS ROAR ETC WHICH ARE BLUE MAGIC BY DEFINATION.
the second The samuria fat dude lands in the port is during heavenward ;p
<this guild look across from the 2 axes its unifinished and unused but it was obviosely made to be a guild at some point.
As for the imperial just pop your msq let and u will see atleast 1 character with a gunblade
Yes, they all use Gunblades. None of them use GunBreakers though. Thats a Hrothgar thing that gets taught to only Thancred, and to WoL Player Characters.
Gunblades and Gunbreaker are 2 completely different weapons and fighting styles.
False. There are Curved Blade weapon designs that aren't remotely tied to Bluemage. Gladiators/Paladins have Scimitar sword weapons. Even Dark Knights have a few Curved swords. Pipin matter of fact gets one of Raubahns swords. Does that mean he's a Bluemage now?
And with that logic, does that mean Dragoon is a Bluemage because of Fang & claw, Blood of the Dragon, Dragon Sight and Dragonfire Dive, is Warrior a Bluemage because it knows Inner Beast? Just because theres some flashy beast or animal name next to it doesnt mean its a Bluemage skill.
The Fat dudes name is Gosetsu, and he comes in by the very end of Heavensward. At that point, Samurai was already revealed and Announced to be coming in Stormblood at a Fanfest and in a Job Actions Trailer.

"Gunbreaker" is the user, not the weapon.
Both fighting styles call their weapons gunblades, but it's emphasised that they're not the same thing.

It seems my gunblade has caught your eye. You may have seen Garleans wielding something similar, but this is the genuine article.
The ones used by the Empire are simply edged weapons with a firearm bolted on, or vice versa. While they have their uses, they pale in comparison to those my clan forged for generations.
Our gunblades use aetherically imbued cartridges.
When you pull the trigger, the powdered crystal within ignites, releasing the aether.
This sends a powerful shockwave through the blade, increasing its destructive capabilities. The cartridges can even be fired into the air to create defensive barriers.RADOVAN
It normally takes a lot longer for novices to grasp the fundamental differences between a gunblade and a regular sword.
It was originally developed by my people in the Third Astral Era. The march of the Allagan Empire had driven us to the barren wastelands, where even survival was a constant struggle.
Our queen, Gunnhildr, was closely guarded by loyal soldiers known for the unique swords they wielded.
These weapons, “Gunnhildr's Blades,” eventually came to be known as “gunblades.”
Meanwhile, the Allagans were developing firearms capable of launching projectiles over great distances. As they were similar in appearance to our gunblades, we referred to these weapons as “guns,” a term which is now commonplace.
So effective were these new weapons on the battlefield, the queen's guard decided to specialize in smashing through the enemy lines and destroying them as swiftly as possible. Thus did they come to be known as “gunbreakers.”
Even after the fall of the Allagan Empire, these techniques were passed down to each new generation. My clan are the descendants of Gunnhildr's royal guard, although I am all that remains.
It is my duty to see that the art of the gunbreaker lives on, even if that means entrusting it to an outsider, such as yourself.

Did YOU pay attention? They literally tell you in the GNB questline that the weapons garleans use are NOT gunblades. They're more like giant bayonets to their carbine rifles, rather than a sword with a gun on it.
2.0 Veteran from 2013. Just looking to be helpful. DRK is Love, DRK is life.
(Ignore the levels on my character card, the tool i used to make it hasn't been updated for 4.0)

They still call them the same thing though, 'gunbreaker' is the name of their Discipline (Job) not their weapon which they also call a gunblade (the hrothgar for their part regard the Garlean gunblade as an inferior copy that is more just a firearm with a bayonet attached, the Garleans in turn consider the GNB version as an 'obsolete antique').
NIN and DRK were first hinted heavily in Syrcus Tower with those named mobs. Red & Blue mage were hinted first in that weird developer meta like quest, before Alisae became a walking advert for RDM.
Dancer was hinted at when Lyse during SB's MSQ mentioned briefly that her sister, the real Yda was a dancer and the dress Lyse wears originally belonged to her. SAM has already been touched on.
The other jobs were never really hinted at, as the dev's wanted to keep some surprises. We haven't had any signs yet for SHB, it's possible there won't be anymore.

I doubt she is a hint. She isn't a 1st hammer user either: there is Nero, and Warrior technically has hammer among weapons (though just only one, iirc). That said, I would be glad to see a hammer job, but I'm not sure there ever will be one.

Blue mage tank using Aether-infused armor, a giant Nero style hammer, and warped versions of primal skills as its ability set is still better than the blue mage we got :|back when we still thought we were going to Garlemald in 5.0, so people came up with lots of ideas for a "14 original" job
Lyse wasn't a 'hint' for dancer unless you think they're hinting at jobs over a full expansion cycle in advance of their release.NIN and DRK were first hinted heavily in Syrcus Tower with those named mobs.
