Fix Savage Raiding (party finder mode)

New to high end raiding in FF14 I have picked up on a pretty big problem.
The game unfortunately disrewards people who do not succeed in killing a savage boss really early on (first few days) of its release.
The result is that players get increasingly frustrated as days go by and using the party-finder to get a kill becomes almost impossible.

Fix 1: Make it so that if there is even one person in the party that does not have the kill, ALL the chests spawn and EVERYONE can roll on one item.

Fix 2: from the second week on after the release of a savage boss give a beginners luck buff. If there is even 1 person in the raid that does not have the kill, the entire party gets a 5% echo.

These fixes will encourage players with the kill, or players that have already killed the boss that week to go into the encounter with a new person. People could even make groups of 7, and get new people in back to back to try and farm more items which is a great way get more social activity in the savage tier of things.
Right now getting a party together for Eden 5 Savage (using the party finder) has become either impossible, and in the rare occasion that it does work, every single person in the comp is so toxic from the last two weeks of bad experiences that it leads to nothing.

This type of gaming experience causes people to go on long breaks. That happens to many times and people quit

    That's not the game.
    That's people.
They think they're ready to do something they aren't. Especially the first floor.
They think they might die 2 or 3 times and others will eventually kill it.
They underestimate what savage is. They don't respect what the description ask (some don't even read it at all).
I can't count the number of time when I had people not mastering some fights at all in "kill groups".
That's why there's sometimes these "toxic description", threatening of kicking anyone who fail too much.
Doing mistakes happens, we're all human, but being absolutely not ready and failing to absolutely everything is somehow a lack of respect because it makes others waste their time.

People have to be respectful to the group they join.

But this content is intended to last for 6-7 months.
For more casual players, pf is hell the first weeks, because we have less gears.
And chest penalty is there to prevent people to make their weekly full with helpers and get all their loots for themsleves.

As a player who does party finder a lot, I share your "pain". I understand it.
But if people would actually had better behaviour when it comes to raiding in this game, maybe we'd have better results overall.
I can't tell for other data center, but in EU that's what i've seen to far.
But they definitly shouldn't change it they way you suggest it. That would be unfair for others. We need to be equal.

Dear square, please put training wheels on SAVAGE because simplifying every other aspect of the game isn't good enough for me.

    Shortened it for you.

There already is a simplified version of Savage.

    It's called Normal mode.

I'm still in a mad rush to clear E8S before I effectively get locked out of it after all of the good players clear and leave me stuck with the Light Rampant meme parties.

Giving people an incentive to help others get first clears beyond the Phantasmagoria bonus would only be a good thing, IMO, though preferably in the form of simply making it more rewarding somehow.

No, absolutely not. This would allow progression teams to be fully geared within a few days and likely burned out entirely within a few weeks.

You already get an echo equivalent week on week. Tome gear.

That's just not needed though. There are people out there that are happy to help if asked, you just need the social reach to gather them and admittedly, that can be quite difficult as a newer player especially if you're not an active part of a decently substantial FC.

As mentioned by others, this is a community problem. Not a difficulty or content problem. The game doesn't prepare people for Savage and honestly hasn't done for years now. Instead it teaches people to expect to pop a queue, mash a few buttons and get loot for their 'efforts'.

I'm not sure why you expect to get rewards when you don't complete something.

Problem is that you can clear all of Savage on the first week lockout, and contrary to popular belief, a large part of the playerbase has no problem whatsoever with the difficulty. Thus its all farm parties after a few weeks, because once again, the game is too easy, and doesnt actually require the loot you can easily get solo to complete all content.

If you had to actually farm up gear to tackle subsequently stronger content and it wasnt always tuned to, basically, 2 patches ago, there wouldnt be this situation where somebody with good skill but bad timing on patch release, or just a latecomer, is stuck with scrub groups.

So the solution is not making stuff easier. The solution is keeping the playerbase more synchronized in the reward systems , and not basically have a sizeable portion be done with an entire raid tier before they even get a single piece of loot.
