Dissidia NT was a huge letdown. The forced 3v3 and clunky controls are what put me off it more than anything else. And it's a damn shame for the Dissidia series because it was a good concept and had a good story overall. NT just screwed it all up with forced 3v3 in all content and focus on clunky always online PvP with PSN's paper servers slowing the match down to a crawl and not knowing if your attack actually hit or not. It's incredible how the MOBILE version ends up being the better game with a party-based RPG-styled gameplay and an actual campaign mode.
*huff huff*
But yeah, SE's made some questionable gambles with games before, like XV's incredibly troubled development and eventual cancelled DLCs, time to show XIV some love.
When the game's story becomes self-aware:
Korean games are fun the first few months after they launch in the west, when they're still pretending they'll be a subscription game.
Once they inevitably go f2p though? Run, run fast and far.
It's really too bad. Some of them have decent combat, and decent character creators. However, they lock everything behind a grind, paywalled progression, and fashion largely locked behind the cash shop as well. FFXIV I can earn all of my outfits in-game, and yeah sure there is a cash shop, but I see it more of a bonus than anything. "Free to play" has always been a joke, even with western developers though. If you ever want to play those games seriously, even if you can "earn everything" it ends up being a horrendous grind at best, or costing more than a subscription based game like FFXIV - with sparse updates to anything but the cash shop. I usually won't touch a free to play game. SWTOR was the only one I even played seriously, for a time (back in 2014), and I treated that game as more of a subscription game.

Male Viera should be this, should be that. You guys still go on with your own selfish desires? One or the other will get pretty crushed in that regard.
Maybe it's time to let Matsuno-San and the dev team decide how they would like to create these Vieras and female Hrothgars.
We are talking about creativity, so maybe stop putting so much hope into something. You'll get salty.
Which is a real shame. Aion was actually one of the MMOs I've enjoyed the most, but since it's gone f2p and lost a huge chunk of players, it's also been totally butchered. At least as far as most of the things I enjoyed about it to begin with.
Oh well.

I can only speak for myself, but I would respect whatever design decision Matsuno and the dev team make for male viera, whether I personally like it or not.
Until then, I think it's fine for people to talk about what they would like to see or make speculations.
If they aren't the design you want will you fantasia to one?

I mean, if they're big stocky viera with dad bods, or if they look like big hulky body builders, no.
But if they look similar to the concept art, then of course. In the concept art that shows three variants of male viera, I prefer the male viera furthest to the left.
People always say female viera is what elezen should be, so it's only natural that male viera should be them doing male roe right. Or highlander, gotta remember the eyebrows!

lol k
Anyway, I've got a big what if, but what if the head gear and hair is coming out a little slow because the dev team is fitting them for male viera/female hrothgar as well? Since it's more work load, it could be the reason why. This is just a big what if, though.
