But at least it does something. A small something, but still it does make casts faster, which means more mobility. Piety on the other hand, I can't remember the last time I ran out of mana on WHM. Probably just when synced down for stuff like AV and keeper of the lake.I'd like to throw in spell speed as well because it does nothing for regens no matter what that tool tip says. So that would leave crit and det.
Edit: I don't know how important casting faster means to everyone else, but as you need a ton of SpS to bring the GCD down, I just don't bother with it for that too.
You'd need a ton of Spell Speed to effectively experience better mobility (which in itself isn't a problem because it's part of caster gameplay in general, learning how to properly plan movement). And remember that with that huge amounts of SpS, you would have dropped Crit and Det, so your fast heals would heal less, thus you would need to cast more heals throughout the fight. It's just not efficient at all in the current system.
Healers just need integrated MP mechanics within their kits (well, WHM and SCH have them so it's just AST) and Lucid, and Piety could be dropped entirely. We need yet another healer rework in 6.0 just for the stats.
That's not 100% true tho. Every healer as a SpS softcap they want to reach aka a certain GCD to make their DoT align smoothly. It's more important on SCH, but a certain amount of SpS on WHM is still comfy and definetly not wasted at all.
I don't know, man.
I've been running full Piety on every healer and thus don't run much Crit or Det. I haven't noticed a situation where I had to cast another heal to top people off. Stat customization is a lie in this game. There is not much you can do to differentiate materia builds and iLvl determines your damage a lot more than your substats will. You'd need a ton of Spell Speed to effectively experience better mobility (which in itself isn't a problem because it's part of caster gameplay in general, learning how to properly plan movement). No. Healers do too much damage. Tanks like me feel threatened. Double piety. No damage substats. MAKE EM' HEAL IT!
They are fixing their mistake, thank goodness.
Yep, Noct AST and PF Scholars tend to meld a bit of piety.
WHM on the other hand functions at every level of piety to the point Thin Air is just for decorative purposes at this point.
Ye think it's like 1085 or something.

Never said otherwise. Considering I healed this tier on WHM, you don’t need to explain this to me. I was only saying that Piety isn’t entirely useless, depending on which healer you’re playing. Even Di AST benefits from it since the job itself doesn’t have secondary MP regens like SCH and WHM.

At first I was convinced SE just randomised stats on gear, but it looks like I was wrong. Something this awful has to be intentional.
Close. 1320 is the breakpoint for a 2.40s GCD. That's like most comfy for SCH, even tho 2.41s works as well. WHM is best with 2.40s GCD too, only exception is AST I guess, since you don't rly need to align your DoT for anything.
I don't know, man.
I'm sorry but no. Piety is far far far from a dead stat in regards to progging savages and TEA. Its a prog stat. Piety falls off later into the tier when people are going for BiS but I can say with confidence that if i didnt have my 2400 piety on AST these new savages would be much harder to manage.
