Current races are "finished".

If the devs wanna keep them mono gendered they will, if they decide they whould be better off using that tiny room for something new like another small race then I can see that happening.

Viera and Hrothgar are functional. They can be played without breaking anything in the game.

However, they still lack a lot of the customization options of the other races. They are not "finished". There's a difference.

I am afraid I have to agree. It is a shame but I heavily doubt we will ever get the missing genders not when we haven't heard a peep about any new hairstyles and they are releasing new gear without working hats...

Personally I never expected SE if they were going to add them for them to add them mid expansion, though if 6.0 comes and goes with no news then at that point I would say it would be time to gice up hope. Anyone who thought the missing genders would be added mid expansion were expecting far too much in mu opinion.

Even if it was possible to add them mid-expansion, there is no sence to drop a race in mid-patch to begin with. Race is a selling factor for a game, it's more logical to hold it for fresh expansion. The same can't be said for things like hairs and helmets, though, and I honestly don't want to imagine the outrage if at 6.0 Viera and Hrothgars still have nothing.

Agree. There's no reason they need to announce everything to us as they go. They could absolutely be working on things quietly and holding them off for larger announcements.

Does it need to be brought up again that updates were promised eventually? They are officially unfinished. As I've stated repeatedly in this thread and others, I don't expect any actual news until 6.0, but the fact remains.

I'd love Female Hrothgar to be added to the game ... but I could see value in them adding something that's not them instead.
I personally would love for them to add in Burmecian as a 2nd small race option AND to be a cute beast race for people who don't wanna be tall cat dudes.

I really don't think we're gonna see either of the genders come this game, feels like a "hope for their Next MMO" type deal 100% for me. But there's a lot of room to improve CC in a future game and having more non-human/ human+animal bits options is a something to hope for.

Yeah that's definitely along the lines of what I was thinking! I obviously wouldn't begrudge the addition of Male Viera or Female Hrothgar. I hope they do get added for the sake of the people that want them. I just personally think that Bangaa or another race would bring more to the table.

But yeah, I don't realistically believe that they'd add a whole new race like that at this point. Honestly I'm skeptical that they'll add Male Viera and Female Hrothgar.

Playable Bangaa... Yeah, right! For one they look dumb, but also hrothgar are our beast race. They couldn't even finish viera/hrothgar and people want bangaa too! Viera still don't have any new hairs!

I'm only dumb sometimes! Bangaa really do look dumb though, I wasn't even joking. They are like off brand alligators. By that I mean, alligators being knockoff crocodiles, they are a knock off of a knock off. Like, they look like they have some sort of birth defect.

No, it doesn't? Promised updates doesn't mean the product wasn't finished, it means people complained about the finished product. I want the missing genders and hats/hair as much as the next guy, but they're not unfinished just because people were unhappy with them. The team set out to make races that could be included in the game despite *intended limitations*. It wasn't a lack of time or an accident that they didn't get all the hair or hats, it was planned so people could have the races they wanted.
