I have no problem with Male rabbits, but everyone here hoping for some kind of small rabbits to mirror the aura dimorphism need to realize that it's absurdly unlikely with how they've been described.
If I have to put up with this for 2 years and then the backlash starts AGAIN because everyone is expecting "muh smol fluffy bunnies" I'm going to be very very unhappy.

It's ridiculous, male vieras are supposed to be survivalists who live like Bear Grylls 24/24 and fend off outsiders, but all the catboys here seem to believe they would have been small, feminine boys, they don't want vieras, they don't care about vieras, they only wanted bunny people, as long the race was called viera they weren't going to get their bunny little boys.
I would have been fine adding them, but they should be closer to male au ra.

A thousand times this. If you want something like a Viera, you'll be essentially sticking bunny ears on either a male elezen or au ra.

I honestly thought the two images where they're cute and small were the 'child' concepts to highlight the fact you can't tell the difference between the two of them until puberty hits. They honestly look like children to me - more so than a lalafel, how is that even possible.

Not only is it plausible, it's likely.

Male rabbits are 3/4s to 1/2 the size of females. That's the easiest way to tell an adult male rabbit from an adult female.

sry, but this is not very much considering how many active players there are in FFXIV x:

Consider that out of the, what, 500,000? (14 mil is total subs since the game started, many are either bots or inactive) the playerbase is split between several forums, then many don't know about the forums or don't have time/ability/other to come and make an account. So to begin with you never would've gotten that many people in here. But then how often do you see that sort of number on a forum post? How often do you see so many people actually making forum accounts to speak out against something? And statistically speaking, it probably means there're many more people who share those views. So this thread very much is something SE Should pay attention to, and they have, going by how Yoshida already went on record saying they're reviewing the feedback

Make no mistake: Viera women will be gigantic; likely 10-12 feet (3-3.7 meters) tall; with ears. That would put viera men around 6 to 8 feet tall. Since the men have shorter ears, their head height will likely not be too far off.

well, we dont. but we do have several concept drawings that can give us a good approximation of how they would look. no matter what the adult oriented part of the otome community is like, fact is that those kinds of designs are still associated more with gay men than straight women, and sometimes considered gross or weird because gay men find them attractive, not straight women.
