I'm aware of that issue too. I'm saying that the fact that they mentioned resources as an issue at all when you consider the quests of the Ondo tribe is a bit incongruent.Its not just about the ressources. The ondo say that they tried to talk to them but the hatred is too deep. If we dont take her out (and the scions did not like that either) then they will grow in numbers and go to war with the people. People that have done nothing wrong. So its either not kill her and later hear that they have slaughtered the Ondo and who knows how many people from the villages (including the children) or kill the queen (who also was ready to attack us and did not want to talk to us at all) and save the rest.
The scions did not like it and we also had that sad look on our face afterwards, but the harsh truth in the situation was that fighting was the only option left.
I think it's more the implied bit where, if the benthos were equally kind, the Ondo would share and vice versa, instead of attempting to hoard resources for either side.
