As has been ruthlessly debating about throughout this thread, this is also a completely subjective viewpoint. It's moot to keep going on about it. Instead, why don't we discuss another issue that has been mentioned throughout this thread, albeit indirectly?

People keep saying dev time this and dev resources that, but it remains that Square Enix is, contrary to what the memes might indicate, an enormous company with lots of money and resources. Why must we have to sacrifice one potential feature in favor of another, when we could have both?

Let's discuss that, please.

Just because the compagny make a lot of money doesn't mean the team working on FFXIV get a bigger budget every time, shareholder does and we all know too well how its going in every game compagny nowaday.

Plus even if they get more money doesn't imply every aspect of the game get an upgrade, new staff need to be trained to the engine, project have to be endorsed to put mere example.

Under my limited understanding of how the system works, implementing this request would not be difficult due to the systems already existing, just not for other players

And under my limited understanding on how physics works, moving to the speed of light would not be difficult due to light already moving at this speed.
