well, if they turn them off then ppl cannot watch their skill in other city to see how they look, it's not legel that you cast your skill in the city, but it's illegal that you use it and alot of ppl feel that you abuse your skill to annoying them, so cast it else where that has less ppl

like, i can make a party in my house, there is no law to prevet it, but when my party start to annoying my neiborhood then they can call police on me, fair and square

Because spamming something in a dungeon when it helps you complete the dungeon is definitely the same as doing it in a city with the intent to bother other people.

Okay, so if you see 3 other people using it, and you come use it too, making it just colorful. Who is bothered by this. In a game. Where you can walk away. Where you can turn off spell effects. I 100,000% bet you, it took longer to report someone for something that the person felt "bothered by" than to turn off other players spell effects. It takes like 5 seconds to turn them off tops. Even on console. And the point of me saying that is "But why defend spamming" You can't call it bad in 1 place and good in another if the whole point the guy is saying is "Why defend spamming"

So did the others that was spamming holy get banned to? If not I would report it to higher ups in SE staffing for harassment on there part. It said he joined in others that was already spamming holy. Why would holy show up in there chat log unless that added battle skills to general chat log. It only show up in battle log chat. I see ones all the time spamming emotes back and forth to other friends taking up chat log and never see them getting banned for it. Every time one catches a fish it shows up in your chat log. Same with crafting. So can get banned for fishing and crafting in a city then?

There already is a solution. Its in the settings. Its called turning other players spell effects off. Its easy to do. And if you do alliance raids as a melee with them all on....

To have fun? To do something? Whats the purpose in reporting someone for spamming when you can turn it off in the settings to not even see it?

Looking at the forums I see my opinions on this would be just hated. Even looking at the post about the ability to hide others glamours if you don't like it. This is the same thing. Should I just report peoples glamours I find offensive to me? Its harassing for me to see all of those glamours that hurt my eyes. The same could be said for spell effects. The difference is a setting is in place to hide them.

So, by that, the people who report them, want everyone else to change how they enjoy their game because someone who ISN'T following you around and just using abilities in one spot, is somehow harassing you or something. You can hide something that bothers you. This isn't changing how you enjoy the game.

I mean. The reason crafting was brought into this. The GM said it was "spamming the chat log" Crafting does exactly that. By the EXACT SAME DEFINITION the GM used in this case, it covers people who spam craft/meld. Your opinion is that. Others is that TOS is TOS. So I mean. TOS is TOS. It doesn't only apply when it suits your views of what makes sense.

Someone on the development team that gives GMs the “OK” to ban for stupid crap like this, seriously needs to re evaluate how they handle situations like that.
