Why the JP community mentality is superior to the EN community mentality

The JP mentality is superior because of the concept of team and the emphasis on structure. They work hand in hand and allows for efficiency without toxicity.

The problem with the JP side of things is that when they do decide to reject people they do it on a much grander scale and actually have public blacklists they use to spread knowledge of players they view as problems.

This isn't actually a problem, in fact, I do this as well. Enthusiastically, I might add.

Every community is toxic in their own ways, because humans are complex, flawed creatures, it is what it is. :P

Which is why I also play as a Lalafell or as a Viera to change up from my default human avatar of Hyur midlander. This, to disregard such natural flaws as...irrelevant.

It's like, if you're on a ship that's sinking, and someone points out that the ship over there is cleaner and is actually staying afloat and will get you to your destination safely, and you respond with, "Well, you're welcome to get on that ship!", I'm like...

This isn't actually a problem, in fact, I do this as well. Enthusiastically, I might add.

Yes it is a problem because that person who is officially blacklisted will not get the chance to get better. Also with what recently happened this can even start a horrible witch hunt...going so far as having people follow that person even after name changing and server changing to make sure that the new servers knows how bad they are...there is even the rumor that this person who stalked them even made up fake screenshots to hurt this person even more.

Its a game..if people are that bad in your group then kick them and BL them. But making this official outside of the game is imo disgusting...maybe that person was still learning..maybe that person had a bad day..but now they might never really learn anyways.

But the response of "You're welcome to join them," is the go-to retort. Even to constructive criticism. Hence, the sinking ship analogy.

I'll agree with how sometimes retorts can be overused.

I guess we could instead retort with "sorry, I'm not interested in how other countries do things. Please stop mentioning it."

Criticism is only constructive in the eyes of the beholder, and life styles are like material possessions - one man's trash is another man's treasure. This also applies to video games.

Even in rare situations where the multi-quote functionality doesn't work (some low-grade browsers for mobile mess up with it), it's nice to remember that it's all just text anyway. You can just copy and paste the contents of a pending post to another.
