Fair enough.I hope that SE can do something about. I mean, in XI they would fish up a single item that you'd tossed--that was more of a stupid mistake than accidentally offering too much gil for a repair. :/ At the same time, I don't think they did much when you offered way too much on the AH. :<

Yeah, I'm personally hoping that they can check chat logs, but the OP still probly won't get his money back. It's really sad.Fair enough.I hope that SE can do something about. I mean, in XI they would fish up a single item that you'd tossed--that was more of a stupid mistake than accidentally offering too much gil for a repair. :/ At the same time, I don't think they did much when you offered way too much on the AH. :<

Well reading from all the forum posts, I understand where some of you might think I am at fault here and yes I am and willing to admit my stupidity. I did ask him nicely from the very beginning if I can have my money back. If I had known that he would take his precious time to even care to respond, I would have been at ease. But he didn't and made me wonder what he was doing or thinking. If you were in this kind of situation, how would you consider to respond that all your money was taken away and you had limited options. Have you ever been in this kind of situation before?
In the light of the situation, I was talking to Junrk (the meditator) in working things out to get my money back. 11 million was the money I could have easily taken. When Nick Zealot contacted finally from the above post I had written, he was quick to ask and when I try to reply quickly as I could because I was talking to Junrk, he went to say "Goodbye" and logged off. I didn't have any proper time to talk to him instead he had his own motivation and right there his true intentions were seen.
Even after asking him nicely to have my money back when he logs back on, he will not reply back. He remains the "silent" type and quietly take the assets. Isn't it weird he would bargain for 11 million to be returned back to me instead of the whole? What was his reasoning behind it? A reward of the leftovers he may have possibly spent it. That I don't know. I was going to give him a reward if he had given my money back but he decided to make his intentions known of what he wanted instead.
All I care about was to have fun in the game and I have had my shares of losses from FFXI. I just like to resolute this matter easily but Nick decided to take the low road and make it difficult. What is done is done. The GMs cannot do anything to return back my money and since the game is not seen fit to handle such things as there is not much funding going around, they would only reply with an automated message.
As for Nick, this is the kind of player you want to avoid. Everyone should boycott playing or dealing with him in-game because he made his point and intentions be known for what he was.
What it matters now is I have fun and be with the friends I enjoy hanging. The best revenge is to succeed and to do that is to either farm gils or make money through crafting or leves. I can always earn it back and I'm not worried about virtual money nor the money I lost. It's just a game, time to move forward.

I know its a fictional show <,< XD the point i was trying to make is if it happened to you what would you do? keep the money or notify someone of it? according to a vast majority of people they would of kept it, and than in the end they would find out and send you to jail. Than everyone would starty crying saying something probably like " O I didnt know this was illegal its not my fault im getting this much, you should find the person that made the mistake and sentence him to jail and i should get to keep the money as the governments punishment for making the mistake."Family Guy is a fictional show, you need to provide a case in real life for it to be valid. Saying that this should be held as fact is like saying that someone can buy a space shuttle and fly it into space from their front yard and come back to earth with no problems (remember that episode? )
and FYI ppl should be able to buy a spaceshuttle and take off into space on there own, it would be freakin sweet, plus you get to rub one out for a couple days and in the end you get to feel what its like to live in a snow globe. And in the end isnt that every um.............. messed up mans dream? ^.^

I am surprised noone from Fabul replied here yet.
Yes it was a mistake and I doubt SE can do anything about it and OP, you need to resolve this in game. I play with some of the guys i saw in your /tell and let me tell you now, this is a matter of honour and respect. If someone goes as low as that and refuses to return your money then I don't want to have anything to do with that character.
This needs to be word of mouth for all the people of Fabul regarding this incident. If you still don't recover your gil, minus what is fair for a repair, I will make sure all my people in my LS and all the rest I play with, including myself, will never have anything to do with that guy.
To those bashing OP that it's his fault, imagine yourselves in his spot, how would you feel? Stop being so ignorant, if the guy has to post here and expose this it means there is no other way and if you would actually spend the time to read his /tell messages you would see he wasn't being rude, the other guys were rude to him by making fun of him.
EDIT 1: Nick Zealot, i hope you can see the reason here.

personally i woulda taken the 11 mil when i could then tried to get more after, but thats me.

What I meant by saying it is fictional is that it may not be a real law, I was asking to provide a link or something that says it is illegal. Not saying you are wrong, just that Family Guy might be.I know its a fictional show <,< XD the point i was trying to make is if it happened to you what would you do? keep the money or notify someone of it? according to a vast majority of people they would of kept it, and than in the end they would find out and send you to jail. Nick Zealot is blacklisted in my book no matter what he does at this point. That is just inexcusable.
