    BLU QoL and future additions you would like

    BLU is in a good spot as of 5.15 regarding it's endgame and how it plays as a separate piece of content, but there are still a few flaws and areas that can be improved that are growing increasingly apparent as the content gets older.

    One of my biggest issues right now is accessibility and obtainability of spells from group content (particularly 8 man) once everyone who wants the spell has it.

    I would like see the devs add allied seals to the acquisition of spells (maybe 10 per player who gets the spell, or if thats too much then just 10 if someone gets it) which would be given to every player in the party. This would give incentive to players who already have the spell, or perhaps have no interest in BLU to join BLU spell acquisition parties, much like the way second chance points and first time bonus are designed.

    What other QoL changes would people like to see?

    The equivalent of a 'Hallowed Ground' type spell. Something that can be used on the move as an emergency button for BLU tanks, but that doesn't lock you in place like Diamondback does.

    BLU tanking needs some work. Tank mimicry needs an HP boost and lower damage penalty. Could also use instant-cast mitigation.

    Angel Whisper having a long CD is ridiculous when no other raise in the game has one. Locking it behind the entirety of the Masked Carnivale was bad enough.

    I don't think it's long CD is that ridiculous, but maybe a route to improve it would be to make it a better spell under healer mimicry. I could see "MP cost is increased to 2400 and Recast is reduced to 100 seconds while under the effect of Aetherial Mimicry: Healer".

    The reason it is so bad as it is now is because it is possible to have 8 raises in the party. By making this change, it makes the healers have healer raise, and the other BLU have DPS raises like SMN and RDM.

    As the content ages, getting full Blue Mage parties together will become exponentially more difficult which should probably see some form of nerf to do as the OP says and not restrict skill learning for players catching up to future content releases. I would say that skills should be guaranteed to drop, even undersized, as long as the party is only BLU mages to relax the full party restriction and allow people to catch up.

    For the Blue Mage Log and Morbol achievements, I wouldn't relax this at all since they are designed to be extra challenges to complete for fun.


    As for BLU abilities, I wouldn't make any changes to how they are now. A full party of Blue Mages can do things that a party of traditional jobs cannot while also being limited in what they can do in each role. That's what makes Blue Mage unique and as long as the fights that teams of Blue Mages can queue for can be completed with the skills available to them, then there's no need to change anything.

    The issue with that though is, you could have a party of all SMN or RDM and none of them suffer the same issue as a party of all BLU. The "raise" spell should of been just that, a "raise" spell. It being gated is another issue as well, but I don't have it yet so I can't say how it is. Its function altering under the healer mimicry would fix things, I think.
