Why? It either turns into hunts which are a zerg fest, or is fought over and becomes not a test of skill, but luck/that bot you use to claim it. Or, it can't have loot, making them pointless. There need to be MORE battle based content out in the world, but thats just me.
Jokes aside, I honestly just want More world Bosses and reasons OUTSIDe gathering and crafting, Possibly even public dungeons similar to BA like within Eureka.
The idea of the world being dangerous and there being rewards waiting is a fun idea to me. But when you've played for a while you dont have as much as you used to have. Heres to seeing more stuff going into 5.2 tho
Having "a difficult overworld" just for the sake of saying it's difficult isn't fun, it's tedious. I played lineage 2 for years. There were no instanced dungeons back then. It was all overworld. And it was neat... Until you realized the world was needlessly big because it had to fit all that crap and have enough room for tons of players to be there. Bosses were neat, but hey, if some group kept sniping them from you, it became not a sense of accomplishment when you got the claim and kill, but one of relief that the wait was over. Sure it was exciting getting loot, but I don't remember anyone being like "yeah the boss fight was epic", it was more "yeah, we finally were able to beat off the other guys and get claim"
I'd prefer not going back to that. And if you say "well it can be a spawned boss you need an item for" well, that's maps or why not just use an instance for it.

No, I'm not. Everything is 80, so there is no reason to go out and do any of those things.I guess you're not doing any content which takes you out in the world. In my case, I'm a gatherer so I'm out in the world every day. Other people would say that they do hunts or FATEs or other activities for tombstones/GC seals/XP if they are still levelling. A lot of people don't enjoy dungeons and do different content to get the aforementioned rewards. But it's hardly the game's fault if you choose not to do those activities
Also, yes, I could and have gathered, but even at most you're in the zone long enough to gather your timed node and then you're gone. WOW SO OUT IN THE WORLD AMAZING.
Except not at all.
2 minutes of gathering in a zone for node pops is hardly being out in the world.
Got your tiger mount from hunts? Thats open world content that will have you out in the world for hours. No, I'm not. Everything is 80, so there is no reason to go out and do any of those things.

Have you done BA? Within BA there was the mount, and on top of that they cna add cosmetics. Why? It either turns into hunts which are a zerg fest, or is fought over and becomes not a test of skill, but luck/that bot you use to claim it. Or, it can't have loot, making them pointless.

This isnt even going into the actual difficulty of Baldesion Arsenal, group based content that requires orginization and things not being handed to players who dont wat to put effort forward. In BA if you couldnt listen to your lead and not stand where you should you died. End of story, I would love content like that. No zerging, an actual test of skill.
But its an instance.... An instance that had lots of drama, trolling, and complaining on the forums about people sniping portals/not helping.Have you done BA? Within BA there was the mount, and on top of that they cna add cosmetics.

Thats present within any game baseline tho, ESO handles them fine and its honestly one of the more fun aspects of the game. In fact ESO handles many aspects of the game being open world really well. People work together if they want the boss to be killed, it requires effort, If you dont work together you dont get a kill, thats essentially what Eureka put players into. And they can make it so that if people dont put effort forward they dont get rewards.
Too bad ESO PvE itself is awful.
WHM | RDM | DNC
And Eureka was an instance. That kind of content is not going to happen in the normal open world. Why? Because you'll get closed areas that lock people out of completing their story and doing gathering/sidequests. If they do more "open world" content, it will be instanced. And people will complain that its not open world, when it is, its just not in La Noscea, or the Tempest, or Kholusia.

Yet they can go against that and try to change how we currently interact with the world. By adding the things I said, again you would have something new to target adding more depth to the world and reasons to explore and find things. Possibly even add lore within the world for the areas we're in. again things ESo has done and its working out amazingly. People organize Dragon(world bosses) Hunts within the zones they spawn in.And Eureka was an instance. That kind of content is not going to happen in the normal open world. Why? Group dungeons can be made so people can all interact with a target for a quest and it not conflict with someone else doing the dungeon, ESO tech on world scaling and How a quest objective works from player to player is god for the type of situations you;re speaking on, so again, No zerging,, quests syncing up when you join groups and desyncing when you leave. Soloable and can be done in groups. Its all very doable and very possible. Not everything has to be instanced and for what its worth FF is as per usual the black sheep in many regards on how these things are handled.
