I'd switch my alt off of Viera but giving them more money to get a fantasia in 'protest' doesn't sit well with me.

It's the same old same old.
They're not adding hair, they're not adding hats, they ignore our pleas, and no one who is in a position to ask the team what's happening will ask.
Hooray.
This right here is why I will never change to new race every again. I'm just glad they didn't do this to Au ra's to when they came out. Seems anymore there all about limited stuff.
The interesting thing is that the early game hoods can be worn by viera and dont mess with their ears or anything.
I remember hearing something about how viera and hrothgar were rushed, but it's strange that even new items still wont show up on them, like lvl 80 head gear literally added in shb.
I still have some hope that this problem will be addressed, but it's pretty crazy that theres already talk of 5.2 and nothing mentioned about viera and hrothgar.
Also when it comes to the werewolf ears i think that might be intentional, but idk for sure.
I'm very close to going back to cat. I love vieras and how they look in armor, but something is missing when you can't wear helmets/hats. I wish they would at least provide an update on the situation.
I fantasied off Viera recently. The lack of addition hairstyles was disappointing enough, but the continued lack of headgear just turned me off to it.
I can get old gear not being compatible, but there's is no excuse for NEW gear to not be compatible with Viera and Hrothgar. It really just shows me that these races will continue to be limited. If the dev team can't even be bothered to make new gear compatible, I have no hopes they will ever go back to make old gear or hairstyles compatible. At most there might be a token amount of new hairstyles, but I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see that until 6.0.
your potato is not wearing any hats either though.I fantasied off Viera recently. The lack of addition hairstyles was disappointing enough, but the continued lack of headgear just turned me off to it.

Like it or not this is a design decision. They never intended to go back and make every head gear work for them, they have made their design rules for Viera and Hrothgar very clear.
Any hat or helm that covers the top of the head is a no go. You can get the tiny Copied Factory Raid head gear hat and wear the hoods but don't expect to suddenly get helms or such. New PVP gear, you can wear the mask and visors but not the healer hat. Latest dng gear that wouldn't be a prob for Hrothgar at all is a no go cause neither get to wear hats.
The simple fact that people can't seem to see the pattern in what they do and don't allow to work for Viera is part of why I think the devs moves on to saying that they would only get unique race hairs moving forward. There's a number of shared hairs that could work and a number that just wouldn't, give people one and they will expect the rest regardless.
I say this cause I feel that if you're holding out hope that they will "fix" this problem you're wasting your time ... they made a design decision, they're not gonna make every new head gear work on them nor are they gonna go back and make more old ones work. So save yourself the trouble and race change if you're not happy with this. Or old out hope that when they get new hairs it's a good number of them.
