There are literally builds that move away from gameplay like that, that person chose to play that way.
You're missing my point, within FF there are not Multiple builds, you have your kit as you see it not changing. In WoW there are choices in the abilities you use, not everyone HAS to play the same, and you will not always be using one ability or small amounts of abilities through an entire run. While some classes in the tank role can be built to revolve around low CPM and only using a small amount of your abilities, you are not locked into that type of gameplay.

I mean.. the fact that the ability usage for DRK is padded out by Hard Slash > Syphon Strike > Souleater is kind of making me laugh. To use Souleater properly you have to use the other two, so you're not using more of your kit, it's simply three steps to the basic attack (like all tanks).Blood DK 94% in one highest rated team in raids and 98% DRK in savage titan

And yes.. i can safely add in that you've never touched a WoW raid in your life, or mythic+; Those things get hectic and you can't plan out where to move and what to do down to the literal second, nor can you prepare for moves just because the boss just used a specific move. XIV allows you to, even if you don't use something like ACT, the boss fights are a choreographed dance rather than a fight.

Mekkatorque Mythic was something else, Imagine a fight like that in FFXIV.I mean.. the fact that the ability usage for DRK is padded out by Hard Slash > Syphon Strike > Souleater is kind of making me laugh. You say that like its a bad thing. WoW raiding was meh and the community was unbelievably toxic. In WoW you aren't a person. You are a number.I mean.. the fact that the ability usage for DRK is padded out by Hard Slash > Syphon Strike > Souleater is kind of making me laugh. Except you see that all the time in XIV too.
The XIV community is not some bastion of politeness, and people can easily be toxic if they even bother talking to you over silently vote kicking someone without saying a word if they don't like you for whatever reason.
Conversely, I've seen much better personalities in WoW in my time there.
So, the only thing i can say is.. anecdotal evidence is only that, anecdotal and doesn't give you any arguments in the conversation.
I have never seen toxicity that you experience in the WoW community in any other game. The toxicity in that game is not just in end game. It is EVERYWHERE.Except you see that all the time in XIV too.

Conversely, in my ... four or so years of playing WoW? I never encountered the toxicity you're talking about. Though the roleplaying community on Moon Guard habitually fell into "She said, she said" nonsense. But I never experienced the seemingly mythical toxicity that people talk about. Experiences are like that, eh?
Also, not to throw fuel on the fire, but Destro Lock actually has a fair bit of interactivity going on with it right now. Granted actually getting to that interactivity is a slog and a half.
