    Probably because it's the game most similar to XIV, by Yoshida's and the dev team's own explicit intent. What flak WoW takes for just being WoW, other games get in discussion just because they're too different and their advantages not as easily applicable. Heck, if any game so much as diverts from the holy trinity, any and all part of it are plague to these forums.

    Many here will complain about the game giving us just more of the same, not taking enough risks, or so on, but then refuse any ideas that can't be immediately integrated into a game that' is, by their own admission, overly constrained...

    Agreed on almost all these points. I miss having dungeons challenging enough to warrant talking to one's allies even when not particularly social. Granted, I don't think XIV's really accomplished that save in a two or three instances (pre-nerf Amdapor and especially Pharos Sirius come to mind), but still, I'd love to double down on that and other factors that make dungeons feel less like something we have to speedrun through. (And to be clear... I like speedrunning dungeons, if only because that's now the only way I won't be bored by them now.)

    Simiarly, I've been trying to think up a way to provide that kind of various but deliberate goals to spice up normal content similar to what Anima books and Wonderous Tails did but going further, ideally into post-cap progression. I hope to have the idea readied by next week if I can avoid working too much overtime.

    Edit: Without Warmode gathering was/is/will be a slog, the 10-30% buff was to good to not have War Mode on when gathering. To which again, people would PK, which again Made it an even bigger slog
    All crafters at lvl 80, trade mentor and made several high-end crafter achievements. But thanks, keep going, you are making this fun.

    I still dont know why you put WorldPvP while farming mats when the bonus doesnt apply then. I dont know man, if you are mythic raider im Napoleón Bonaparte.

    I agree with OP. They really need to add more full-time people to the team (without taking some out) to help delegate so we can have more content without sacrificing any content. It's a big, successful company that's been running for like... 30 years or something even with the occasional financial blunders it has had over the years. They really need to invest more money into FFXIV. Not necessarily time (because Japan legitimately has a word for "working to death," it's a thing there and I don't want anyone to work themselves to death), but definitely money. The budget for the game needs to increase if it's to keep its integrity in tact while maintaining interest by experimenting and exploring new paths.

    In truth I'll agree with that,

    Doing things that way makes dungeons more of an adventure and not just a going through the motions type of activity.

    Don't get me wrong I do actually enjoy the rush of dungeon mob spam, but at the same time, that does make it feel more like a video game than an adventure.

    They're adding so many things that I'm more excited for this patch I keep forgetting there even is a dungeon.
    Having more would of course be great, but honestly "my daily EX will have a little more variety" doesn't excite me nearly as much as anything else listed in the patch features - especially considering how much other instanced PvE stuff they're adding. I think they struck a great balance of content.

    Hopefully they can use those resources to expand on new open world content. Possibly bring a new dynamic levequests. Anything to mix up the open world.

    Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
    Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
    Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
