I'd prefer quality over quantity any day of the week.

I'm interested in seeing how they play out before making judgement. And while I can only speculate, something fast but gimmicky might be a neat edition. Coils had a lot of interesting ideas, but players will take the path of least resistance. But if you split those gimmicks into a dungeon format with one path, then it still works. Maybe. In my head it does.

I think the main issue is that dungeons haven't really changed much, if at all since ARR. There have been a few gimmicks here and there, but overall they have remained the same. Which is good or bad depending on one's perspective. They could use something fresh though, that's for sure.

Sidenote: Most monolingual speakers don't grasp the "why" concept of translations not being in their native language. They don't know the struggle of mental interpretation between one's native language and a target language that may not be in the same language family.

They only ever did English translation for PLLs streamed from outside Japan (plus stream voiceover for the last JP fanfest PLL if I remember correctly). It would be nice not to have to rely on unofficial sources for most of them...

I just accept the fact SE does not care for anyone outside of Japan, based on their events and live letters.For major patch they can't even get a translator for it.Sad we need to rely on 3rd parties for info.And for aanyone that says "well they put a translated version on the forums after a while" I will then point to you translated version of the PLL for patch 5.1 that got released in the forums AFTER patch 5.1 dropped.. so tell me what help is that? To me that a slap in the face.

On a more serious note, I can understand why people get upset the live letters are not translated.

They employ a team solely to translate things.

They have the information done ahead of time to make their slides (which have some english bulletpoints already).

No reason we cant at least have a plain text translation released along with this, even if they arent live-translating (which again, they employ people to do).

The English digest for the second live letter of patch 5.1 was released the day (or over 12 hours) before the patch was released.

The information they have ahead of time are the slides, which are translated into English. If you're saying the speakers are speaking from a script, then it doesn't seem to be the case to me.

If they don't want to have an English translator during the Live Letter, that's fine. But these live letters are always heavily scripted with everything carefully planned out. There's no reason why they can't post a translation to the forums immediately afterwards instead of waiting days or even weeks before we get a translation on the NA forums.
