    Be honest. The reason people want to be able to mail stuff to alts is to not have to buy extra retainers. Retainer fees do suck ( as someone who is a glam hoarder and full crafter)
    I can't speak for others, but this is not the reason I want to be able to mail stuff to my alt. I want to send gear from my main to my alt, gil, etc. I want to send stuff I get on my alt to my main as that's where all my MB activity happens. I don't even have the retainers unlocked on my alt.

    And if 1 person had 7 "alt" (1 main, 7 alt) characters per account they could mail stuff to that would be at least 14 extra free retainers (did they ever add a third? up to 21?) they'd have access to.. Not to mention the bot activity that could also abuse said mailings.

    Look, I despise paid retainers as it is, but I can see SE's reasoning here for not allowing you to mail stuff to yourself.

    Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
    Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
    Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
