Fellowships need some tuning up.

I don’t get it. Most just link to discord’s that’s been made which is fine.
Those that don’t have nothing to offer. I’ve posted a message for specific content I’m doing in pf. Nobody joins. Not because they don’t want to but because unless they go into the fellowship page and look at messages posted they won’t even know I’ve atuck up a pf to join.

Apart from being a beacon to people who want to join a Ls or discord they themselves serve no purpose. Join fellowship, join ls or discord. Leave fellowship. Is basically it. It’s horrible and is missing so much that’s been mentioned already. I feel like whoever made these should be given the week off to reflect on how they failed this game

The problem is the lack of announcement notice, but otherwise the system is great. I notice the majority of people here don't quite understand how to use them by making these small 20-50 player fellowships or only 100 something on the same server. The point is it's DATA CENTER WIDE.... It's not a party finder, it's not a chat, we already have those. It's a notice board for up to 1000 players all around the game to meet up for social activities, hunts, pvp, and niche ideas without the aid of an outside program.

How I'm using mine, is to help players find random RP outside of the quicksands at any given time. So I made a template players have to follow to accomplish this, by posting a place, time, and a small icebreaker about their characters. This gives people some incentive to use them instead of disclosing everything in a chat and not even having to bother going over or talking to the person. Similar ideas could be used in things like Rival Wings pvp, just by posting "We're going to be hosting matches at blank time, on this day" and so on. It definitely needs improvement but as far as players saying it's useless, I think it's just the abundance of outside application use that people forget we have console players and PC players who don't have discord on their next tab and so on.

What are fellowships for? I just came back, saw them in game and couldn't tell how they were any different than PF.

Imagine being this brain-dead that the first link didn't answer exactly what you just asked. Which was...

And the following link allowing you to use the search engine we've had for at least a decade now brings up a link that offers you this exact information...

"Fellowships is a social system introduced in Patch 5.1. It allows likeminded players to form casual communities similar to free companies and linkshells. Fellowships can accommodate up to 1,000 players. A single player can make or join up to 10 fellowships with no World restrictions so long as they're within the same data center. Fellowships can be accessed from the Fellowships menu under Social in the main menu."

Go.... figure... And hey, on that same page, if you just use that single brain cell just a bit more to its full potential... You'll see what they do, how, and what it offers too. It's almost as if we have this plethora of information available at our fingertips to research things when we have a question on something. I'm sorry if this is passive aggressive but at this point if you can't find your own question answered even when it's handed to you directly, you're probably better off not knowing.
