Let's talk real about the viera and hrothgar

We're also six months post-Shadowbringers release without so much as an update on the status of Viera/Hrothgar hair and headgear. It shouldn't come as surprise that people are rightfully upset.

We also don't have any info about the relic quests for this expansion, which IMO is more important than our lack of hairstyles and headgear (though those are things that need to be dealt with when they can). I'm personally giving it until 5.3 before I light the torch and grab a pitchfork.

So uh... Not sure where people getting that we are six months into ShB since the expac officially launched on July 2nd which would make the 6th month marker Jan 2nd, and even if you count EA that would still be end of December. That all said I can get that it is a bit annoying with no official word on the hairstyles. In regards to the helmets I'm about 80% sure it was advertised in the Live Letter that they would have limited Helmet options period ((Not oh we'll go back and add them at a later date, that was in regards to things like glasses, flowers, and such that wasn't supposed to be in either at launch that they worked overtime to get done)), so I doubt you will ever see full head helms and other hats actually added for them due to that in itself. If I am wrong though, then it would be nice for Viera and Hrothgar players to get an update on that as well.

Honest mistake; I thought it was June, not July. Either way, we're pushing close to six months, and that's still a big issue.

It's really not that important of a thing, merely a visual thing. It doesn't impact gameplay directly in any way, shape, or form. Plus they DID cut it down to the wire in releasing both races to begin with, I'm okay with giving them more time.

The Hrothgar and Viera Hair, Helms and Gender Situation, yeah its all purely cosmetic and isn't that important. But I am sure they are working on it, I chose to believe they haven't spoken on it because they have nothing to show for it yet, and wanna be careful not to set up false expectations. During the Hrothgar and Viera reveal time, someone asked if other genders would be announced, and they said "Stay tuned" That stuff there I know hurts them, because the wording lead people to believe it was happening. And when it didn't....-Looks back at the big Viera thread-
So its better for them to be silent then to say Anything. Because Not matter what they say, it will lead to more Disarray in the community.

Say Yes, then they will be held to it. And if it doesn't happen for any reason: believable or not. Chaos.

They should at least label on the aesthetics items that the hairstyles won't work on Hrothgar and Viera, surely it doesn't take that long to include a little bit of text.

Newer players might end up buying these, only to find that they have wasted their irl money/scrips/wolf marks/MGP or gil.

I get it was a stretch to add the daggum things but why can't you keep up with the patches at least and let them new wear stuff? that's what I find ridiculous. you're getting nothing in exchange when the other races get stuff. it ain't fair. the silent treatment is getting really irritating.

Nah, I think they (Or at least Hrothgar) are a welcome change of Scenery. Its about time we got a playable Beast Race. I am VERY happy for their existence.
I do think they could have just updated the Lupin though. Might have saved them alot of work.

I feel like Viera and Hrothgar are even more half-baked than when we first realized they were each only going to have one gender available. The lack of hairstyles, the lack of helms, the face issues, the rigging troubles with equipment...

I appreciate that we have the races for those that really want to play them, but I can't help but feel that they are at an extreme disadvantage compared to the other races. I have no interest in playing either race as long as they have such disadvantages. For those that are suffering through, I hope you receive the same benefits the rest of us play with sooner rather than later.
