Let's talk real about the viera and hrothgar

We are only in Patch 5.1. So we are barley into the Expansion cycle.
Think we should actually wait till we get further in the Expansion before people start making 50 threads talking like Square & Yoshi arn't working on these things.

Sorry, couldn't really find these megathreads that you guys are talking about, just saw one other one talking about the new hairstyle, and you make it seem like viera and hrothgar weren't one of the big selling points of the expansion, which they advertised it like crazy along with becoming a warrior of darkness, so it would be safe to assume that being something that they pushed so hard, they would at least keep up with updating or fixing the problems with it. Not saying they should pour all their time into these races because i actually love switching to the other races every once in a while and see quite a bit of problems with the other races like elezen females for example, but just like blue mage it makes it feel like it was rushed and either shouldn't have been added or should at least be on par with everyone else, but right now viera/hrothgar are not even on par, they are below par

You really are out of the loop aren't you.... Well, there aren't really megathreads, just several threads over the course of the past few months where we have had this exact conversation several times. A lot of it was in the male viera thread as well... I'd love to get into the down and dirty of viera/hrothgar, and my disappointment in SE, but that's just unneeded stress... not really in a bad enough mood right now either to start complaining like I usually do.

We're also six months post-Shadowbringers release without so much as an update on the status of Viera/Hrothgar hair and headgear. It shouldn't come as surprise that people are rightfully upset.

But again, we are barley into the expansion. We should wait for another MAJOR patch. So like 5.2 - 5.3 - 5.4 - 5.5 - so on etc.

Yeah, let's just wait another half a year for WORD on what they are cooking up with viera! I bet it will be nothing. That's how it always is with SE. You are acting like all these patches are coming soon, they are not. These are long periods of time with no updates, or word, preview, whatever, of what they are working on with viera. These are trash races to SE, and they will always be trash races to SE. Gimmick. They do not care about the large amount of viera players who have held on for nearly half a year hoping that their new race would get ONE thing added just to see every other race BUT theirs get an update. On something as simple as a hair.

They took the time to adapt it for every single race but viera, but screw viera right? And especially screw hrothgar, you had better buy a fantasia! Give us more money for a half baked product! Thank you very much! You want to use that new hair, you had better switch to cat girl or some other race! Give me more fantasia bucks baby! This wasn't even what we intended but our lazyness has really shined through, and made us some profit! Cut corners during development, let's just blame it on "design decisions" and "limitations!"

The lack of RDM hat to be worn is annoying, and it was enough to make one of my friends switch back XD

However, I gotta think logically here, as a former rabbit owner (miss my little friends..), it is REALLY hard to put a hat on when your ears are half a foot long(15 cm). Viera though have even LONGER ears, so without any holes for them to poke through, the situation of yalls' immersion being broken is gonna come up.

Yeah, I waited as long as I could. I waited until a few weeks after the release of the new hairstyle (which Hrothgar and Viera can't use) to see if squeenix was gonna make a comment on it or not, but the silence spoke volumes, so I went back to Au Ra.

I get that it might take a while to implement the old hairstyles, but to not even bother with the new one when it was designed and released? Yeah, nah, that didn't sit well with me, and doesn't bode well for the future. Heck, there isn't even a warning on the item saying *cannot be used for Viera and Hrothgar.
Like, someone could have used it, only to find it didn't work.

My immersion is pretty badly broken by my hair stylist's inability to cut my hair shorter or give me a slightly different ponytail, and by the sudden magical invisibility of most of my hats.

Some hats and hairs are gonna look bad with the ears, I get it. Same's true for Miqo'te ears and Au Ra horns frankly. I'd at least like... Y'know, the option. To exist. :/
