Males that will only play female characters and use flimsy excuses are extremely weird (imo) these are probably the same dudes that actually post on "gonewild" subreddits lmao.

"It's a fantasy game! I want to be something other than a white male" But make their female avatars white, blue eyed and blonde haired it'd make more sense if it their chars were like blue skinned or truly different.

"I don't want to stare at a male's butt all day" Who plays that zoomed in? No wonder people can't dodge because they're busy being maxed zoomed in staring at their char's rear end. Not to mention, except the viera, the male and female butts are non existent.

Like just say "I play one handed" and be done with it.

we ALL look at our characters. You don't need to be zoomed in to 10,000% on their ass. Some people just care about how their character looks, and there's nothing wrong with that. Not everyone who makes a character of the other gender wants to beat their meat to it. Hell, whats wrong with picking something that appealing? And that is different to many different people. I for example like midlanders, Elezens and miqo's. While you may like lalas, I can't play a lala but I'll never call you a pedo for playing one. Just food for thought.

It's hard to reply to this without sounding toxic, I'mma just say just cause some people do it doesn't mean everyone does. Sadly all it takes for something to be looked at as odd is one person. That one person ruins it for everyone else. So I'mma ask this to start a convo, cause funny enough this topic is close to me. As a guy who mains a female miqo, I ask you. Why is it odd there are guys who make female characters? I never self insert for many reasons. The biggest reason is there isn't a CC in the world that can make me look at it and saw. " I want to make me" And be able to actually do it. None of them are that good enough to make me want to do it. Two and this is the one that people blow smoke at but I don't know why... is I like looking at women. I'm not into men so by default when I get to a CC I instantly make a female. Not so much as to drool and whatnot.. but I want to look at something that I find appealing. I don't find men appealing in any shape or form so if I have the choice.. I never make them. I always found it odd that people never understood that.

So not trolling or being toxic, I'm generally want to ask you. Why do you think it's odd people DON'T pick their own gender? And why do you do it? Well there goes any chance of anyone taking you seriously. You are obviously bothered by this given how you decided to go out of your way to create a topic on a public forum about it. It's a Fantasy game, people have differen't aesthetic tastes and like playing dress-up with their characters depending on said tastes. I'm not entirely sure why you keep bringing up ecchi anime into your incoherent rant. People have a variety of tastes, some people like dressing up in cool looking armor and others enjoy wearing bikini's and bathing suits. Can't we seriously leave the dead horse alone? It's been through enough.

First, i dont care if the horse is dead, alive or its making the new Bojack Horseman season. If you dont like to see some kind of topics or you find them repetitive you can just not enter or leave. Easy, right?

Second, thank you for clarifying that there are people with different tastes. The topic is about what they think or what brings them to those who dress their female characters in a certain way. Again, if you don't like it, close on the way out. I don't need any more forum cops to tell me that a topic has been repeated or blablablabla.

And to finish, being a Japanese game with oriental aesthetics it's obvious that it's going to bring mostly weebs. That's why some dress the characters as their favorite pillow. I think it's easy to understand.

In my own topic I say that I myself have created female characters. So I can't find it bad or weird, what I do find strange is that most players have that taste for half-naked or wearing characters that are tanks, for example, with miniskirts and bikinis.

But I say again that the topic is about knowing their points of view. I'm not judging who does it because I don't pay their monthly fee and I'm not interested in looking into other people's lives that deeply tho.

Male who only plays female characters reporting for duty o7. All jokes aside, Not every guy plays female characters because they are horndogs 24/7. I just happen to like female cosmetics more and how they look in them, they appeal to my tastes. Are we not allowed to enjoy having our character be pleasing to the eyes because there are a certain small demographic of players out there that can't handle people playing a character gender that they aren't in real life? For as often as this topic comes up and will continue coming up, I'll never understand why people are bothered by this.

This just proves my point though as we all know female cosmetics are typically more "sexy" while male cosmetics are usually more practical or cool. No matter how many times people try to explain this is it just normally boils down to "I like staring at women because obvious reasons". I'm attracted to males, I don't really make male chars (I have on occasion) because I'm not animalistic (for lack of a better word) and I don't get excited by pixels.
