It is quite clear SE is willing to reach e-sport level, but today is quite difficult reach that level starting from ground zero. Unless SE takes consulting from experts on the field of PvP gaming, I'd expect still a very lot of trial and error before PvP reaches the minimum requirements for being e-sport grade.

First step is everyone be able to load and replay PvP matches (at least in tournaments). It is necessary for everyone to improve, and makes cheating more evident if done by anyone in the party.

Cannot (of course) say about map teleports or early cooldown resets, but the agreements resulting on a team (or some member there) losing on purpose will be evident if you can replay the match.

Everybody knows about the win-trading that went on when there was the party mode in the feast. Heck, people even used to win-trade in the precursor to the feast to get titles and things.

I personally saw in season one in solo queue of the feast speed hackers, people who kept moving faster than sprint speed even with heavy and bind on.

Yeah not sure when that person started PvP. But win trading wasn't a big secret. Not sure if they are still floating around but use to have videos of people teleporting and speed hacking. I have also targeted people underground and in walls. Either I am not paying as much attention or people have figured out no real point in cheating in frontlines. I will admit never seen anything that would be a damage increase hack except the PoTD poms.
