It does seem like the opposite of what they should have done.

Did they say why they removed them? I mean, I honestly hate 24 man matches, but they're better than not getting into a match at all for like two hours or whatever.
I think win trading. I just love their scorched earth tactic, now nobody can even play PvP unless it is prime time.

I actually loved the Moogle Tomestone event because it gave a lot of people incentive to queue up for PVP (or maybe it was just because the GARO thing was ending, idk). It was during that event that I learned to love Rival Wings, and the Feast (to an extent), and it's a shame that it's much more difficult to get into these duties now. I hope they bring the event back or something similar to get more people playing again.
I never liked 8v8v8. With how many people afk, we need larger amounts for each team so 2 people slacking doesn't dump your whole team into last place.
The problem is that with how unpopular PVP is as a mode 8v8v8 was often the only way some players could even experience it. If anything they should have revamped how 8v8v8 matches worked rather than nixing them entirely.
I literally cant pvp because two decisions se made.
Dividing my eu realm into 2 datacenters and taking away 24 ppl frontline. My queue times at off peak hours are over 45 min for one game, and se does not even care they are better of helping people who cant use google search engine. xD
I might remember it wrong but I think it was because the matches with only 24 were "boring" on some maps? But even that is a bad argument imo. Instead of restricting access (and using numbers to decide that, which were bloated because of the end of Garo and the mog event) they could have reworked the maps a bit more so that it changes when you have only 24 people.
Exactly.. I'd rather still be able to actually play PvP via 8v8v8 even if it isn't the most fun, at least then I could actually PLAY PvP and earn wolf marks.

This really was a bad move on their part. It just flys counter to sense. Folks should be careful about what they complain about because square actually listens to the feedback (it seems) and handled it by removing it entirely.
