Just as an aside, every time I do a queue or roulette and something goes awry, I fully expect to see the incident pop up in this thread. That actually hasn't happened yet and I'm beginning to think I've just gotten lucky on who I get as teammates. Either that or nobody on Balmung actually posts in this thread.

In short, you lot manage to all kill yourselves on a dungeon boss? You can stand there outside the boss arena and watch me do it myself, or just watch Netflix or something in the meantime.

Nope, after a kill I got raged at for "wasting time" (both healers died on e4s and I managed to solo the last bit as I had HG for Stonecrusher) and I just simply said "not nearly as much time as you wasted by dying after casting broil with the scholar dead and almost costing a pull"

There was that one time shortly after Alliance Roulette was first added to the game where we got her down to like 5%, then 23 people all drop dead at once, leaving me alone with her.

Hahaha, just die you say? I think not. You can't win by yourself, stop wasting our time you say? We will see about that.

I then proceeded to finish her off myself. A whole lot of Clemency and Goring Blade/Royal Authority combos later she goes down, i laugh, and Alliance Chat explodes.

This literally almost happened to me two days ago. Except I was on MNK (and beyond positionals and basic combos I do not know how to play MNK at all lol). Everyone got caught in one of her entanglements and it was me, one tank and a healer--all from different Alliances. Thankfully with the tank and I keeping aggro, the healer was able to raise other healers and we limped back to a full raid and finished her off.

I remember one epic time in Hell's Lid (when it was part of Expert) where we all died on the weasel boss except our tank who was DRK. She actually solo'd him to the end (he was already pretty close but still it was amazing). We all cheered from the boss room entrance. Lol.

For the Hades EX farm party I was in several days ago, I must thank the 7/8 static party who put up with me as their pure i450 healer with the Titania EX WHM weapon, all 4 Innocence EX accesories, and various i450 pieces glamoured with items of my choosing. In addition, I wasn't as comfortable in this fight as healer compared to doing it as tank or DPS.

While the first few runs have a few technical issues, the team eventually managed to beat Hades EX consistently. While I may not have won the Shadow Gwiber mount, I did get the WHM weapon and several Hades totems for a different weapon.

So my AST is 79 and, having done my roulettes yesterday, I decided to run Mt Gulg twice.

1st run was smooth except for that DNC who thought that every AOE was a safe spot. Granted they were new so not understanding a mechanic on the spot is understandable but explicitly running into every AOE? Not sure.
At one point during the second boss I stopped rezzing them because dude pay attention to my rescues and my bunny hoppings!!!

2nd run was alright but the PLD didn't have gear that was over 76. With a 73 helmet. And who didn't use any cds. My MP cried.

REDEMPTION STORY TIME!

First, Shout out to The Churro and Oichi for the words of encouragement and advice. And yes Oichi, you were right: The other player stacks WILL kill you lol.

Anyways, I pop in with my newly capped DNC cuz I've been enjoying the job like crazy (and I was even stockpiling the rdps gear from the raid from the other jobs I went in as). I manage to actually do very well in all the fights. I had one death at the second one from a funny oversight: the tether mech. I passed mine onto the tank but I was not aware I also had to evade the oncoming suicide bots too but at least I died to the boss at 2%ish so that's a personal victory to me. Before I know it, last fight is upon us and I gotta admit, I thought I was gonna do bad with some of the mechs but I actually end up dodging nearly all of them, only getting dinged with a single vuln stack twice in the fight.

Best part? I end up with a roll of 94 for the glam drop AND I snag a helmet piece for my DNC.

I believe it was Ice Cube who once said: Today was a good day.

The thing about Copied Factory is pretty much everything is telegraphed, slowly at that too, very simple. Once you know what to look out for, the only thing you actually have to worry about are other players. Especially Alliance B, someone always gets killed by someone else or eachother on Hobbes.

I did the twinning with well geared dps (SAM and DRG) with the same last name. They were awful. The tank pulled large and the packs took forever to die, i'm pretty sure i did more dps on the mobs than both dps combined.

On the last boss they both kept walking face first into the extremely obvious lasers sticking out of the boss and the wall. When you hit those, they damage everybody...a lot.

The thing about Copied Factory is pretty much everything is telegraphed, slowly at that too, very simple. Once you know what to look out for, the only thing you actually have to worry about are other players. Especially Alliance B, someone always gets killed by someone else or eachother on Hobbes.

Is that that group that gets the sliding platform? My entire group killed itself by managing to stand in a way that would send them all perfectly in the middle while being targetted by the aoes. Everybody died except me and the tank. I had the presence of mind to just take the vuln stack from touching the outside ring instead. LB3 was almost up after that so i'm just like "y'all can wait a minute"

Oh god, I have to let out some steam because it seems impossible to get competent people for certain roulettes in this cosmos.

I am just trying to fill my poetics and goetia tomes to level desync. The roulette giving most of both of these is the 50/60/70 one, so take this. So I hop on my tank (DRK) and get in almost instantly (who would've thought)

And there is it, The Aetherochemical Research Facility. Aah, nostalgia from the days in HW when grinding it was best to second best way to farm stuff for your relic. Anyway, there seems to be one newcomer, 1 or 2, either the WHM, BRD or MNK, I dunno. There was no one with only 1 leveled job, so that's kinda strange. I pop sprint, and do the first wall-to-wall pull. The first thing I see from the WHM is cure... not cure II, not a regen, aero, stone or holy, and first ones are overkill anyway. Just like this cure. I burst a few seconds, and then get to type 'pls use (Holy)'. I am already top of the dps, and that is not because I had better gear, we are synced to 180 anyway. Nah, I see that BRD not using aoe after a few skills, not using any buffs, that MNK at least doing aoe, but fully missing twin snakes buff, stacking Greased Lighting through a few single target actions, whatever. Yet this WHM does nothing, but spam cure f*ckin' 1 this entire fight, standing idle otherwise, and only 1 Holy when the trash about to die anyway. Normally, you see this mobs fall in less a min, more about 30 sec after the pull. It took way more than that. I bail out on this one.

At least I can farm some gemstones throuh FATEs and gather some crystals in the meantime.

Another try on 50/60/70 later on, and I get Haukke Manor (hard). WHM, MNK and DNC this time. WHM puts a regen on me before I even pull... well, whatever, I don't care. Pull to the first room, pop a CD, and bloodweapon, and get healed by cure... why did I even except otherwise? DNC was using their double step, but only used single target combos... MNK was using Perfect Balance, but used it to do a combo? I don't get it. Urgh, I gave them the benefit of doubt, and one more pack before I decide whether to leave or not. Well, next pack was cure spam + regen once more - resulting in a wooping 70%+ overheal (if that ain't skill I dunno what that is) - , DNC kept using their st combo, and MNK was clearly missing their twin snakes buff... again - at first I thought they were the same MNK from before, but no. And once again, none of those were playing their first or second job, but already had multiple leveled.

I don't get how there are still healers out there doing 0 dps, and using their most inefficient healing spell, DPS neglecting their buffs, and aoe (combos), and then get every single example of them in one party...

Better to gather some MGP, at least GATEs are not affected by the penality...

But screw this "The Slice is right" GATE, I can't get into likin' it. I am better off farming some axing with "Out on a Limb".
(Even Yoship was looking kinda pissed on this LL stream despite getting 6k MGP from it, that lucky ... whatever, I am done.)
