We can only really go off the latest information and sometime after that Yoshi said that Viera and Hrothgar would be getting unique hairs and not shared hairs.

A producer of a game of this level should be responsible for his words. Otherwise it becomes like a flueger.

Seems like the release of a good looking new hair as stared the pot again.

It's a question of taste. This new hairstyle reminds me of a mad hedgehog. I don't care about it and i'll never use it on any of my characters. But it's just another reminder of how limited our hairstyle options.
