Disgusted with Ishgardian Restoration

Haveing trouble believing SE hadn't thought of this one of the hazards of cross-world access. SE needs to rethink this. I couldn't even partake in the FATE because of this. No sense in doing restoration if a main element is going to be closed off to me.

Add "No sense in doing this if gathering is not going to get scrips"!

Was finally able to get in to my own server's firmament... after the event ended. Thanks SE, and the jerks that decided they were entitled to another server's stuff. I don't understand how SE didn't see this coming since world visit is a thing and they didn't bother to lock it native characters only... my goodness.

I did it on my server (Faerie) today and good gods it was one of the worst experiences. All these people saying they were there to "help us" (more like help themselves) and the chat flooded with cwls invites. The fate was at least doable because the culling of players helped, but my friend who just got home from work was so confused why he couldn't just get into the area to start the quest.

I just missed the first fate on my home server because of people from other servers.

What are my reprocussions here? Go to another server and screw someone else out if their potential rewards? How does this seem fair?

Not to mention the fate takes ZERO thought and just had you click on one thing and then another and then bam done in 2 seconds.

I agree this is an issue too but we should direct all posts about this to one large thread that way it will have higher visibility to the devs,

I agree, it's beyond ridiculous at this point.. even more so when the people from other servers are poking fun at others for being locked out due to them. *sigh*

I heard people saying this happened to them. The troll behavior has gotten worse within the past year it seems. I wish people didn't have to deal with that type of childish behavior. I'm sorry if you did.

I didn't know DoL would be needed to gather some materials, and since my DoL aren't hight leveled I felt a bit restricted, but in the end I managed.

I like Ishgard's restoration, but there sure are some features that would need updating. It felt a bit chaotic on Twintania, a rather small server, so I can only imagine what its like on bigger servers.

As I stated in another post, I don't see this being a big deal. You missed 500 scripts well you can certainly get that easily within 30min tops? That's including gathering time. Of course, this applies if you're level 80. However, if you're not level 80 then you're looking at even a bigger bonus as this is an easy unlimited way to level up your crafts while collecting scripts.
