I said can afford to, not have to. And I was just calling out your false equivalence of "if crafting can be one-buttoned, raiding should be one-buttoned to". PVE (of which raiding is a part of) is a main goal of the game. Crafting isn't, it is secondary facet of the game.

If they made crafting the main goal, and PVE second, this wouldn't be the same game anymore, let alone an RPG

Optionality doesn't correlate to difficulty. Sidequests aren't harder than dungeons. Gold Saucer isn't harder than dungeons. Relic Weapons aren't harder than dungeons.
