Sorry but this is ridiculous - my work/school schedule makes it so that I may not be able to play for 4-day stretches, as I am working 14 hours each day (Hi, healthcare). By the time my commute is over and I've prepared for the next day, I've got maybe 6 hours to sleep before I'm back at it again; logging into the game is the LAST thing on my mind during those 4 days. Are you saying that even though I play solidly on my 3 days off per week, that I do not deserve my house? Granted, I have 3 other tenants, but with the way the housing system is set up, if I personally do not log in, it does not count that the house is being used. So even though the house is being used multiple times a day, it wouldn't matter and it would be lost.

What of those that go on vacation for a week with the family? And don't say "Pack your laptop." That's not always an option, nor should it be a requirement. When I visit Iceland, again, the last thing on my mind during my time there is "Golly-gee, I'd better log into an MMO!"

And what if you cant? What if you are so sick that you wont be able to log in just for one day? What if you are at work and have to travel around the world for it and because of all the time you needed for the journey alone would have lost you your home? Suddenly hours and hours of work and huge amount of Gils will be gone.

I really wonder how people who want such harsh punishments would react if they suddenly are losing their house to it..

That's ridiculous. It took me 3 weeks to decorate my house and real life would have caused me to have lost my house a hundred times by now if 2 days was the demo timer limit. Everyone would complain how anxiety inducing owning a house would be if it took so much time and effort to furnish it just for it to be taken away so terribly easy.
