It might be time to reevaluate the definition of "fun".
You realize the people "screaming, insulting or throwing a tantrum any time someone doesn't treat the game as a job" (AKA not wanting to carry lazy people) aren't the same people who want rewards without having to play the game. If anything, the lazy ones are the ones who want the rewards for no effort.

Didn't say they were. But for me, they're both people would forgot that the game is supposed to be played for "fun", not for drama.

And you realize that someone "not treating the game as a job" has nothing to do with "being lazy", right ? You're kind of showing my point, there.

Y: I usually compare FFXIV with a theme park, but the Forbidden Land of Eureka won’t be a place where everyone would want to go. For example, there are people who don’t want to go to horror houses because they don’t see the point in getting scared on purpose. For example, on a date, the boyfriend might want to invite the girlfriend to go the horror house, but the girlfriend just doesn’t seem to find it fun. In other words, it’s not like everyone wants to go to the horror house, but there are people who just love the adrenalin rush they get from it. Think of Eureka as something like that.
