So, you expect new players who do a trial for the very first time to know everything and finish it flawlessly?
No. Maybe in your own little world that's the case. But no, there are different factors at play, whether someone can understand them or not being a different can of worms btw. Not everyone can handle, for example, dodging multipe/overlapping AoEs combined with the usual ongoing visual clutter as easily as someone else, even after watching a video (where it looks easy enough and probably is in restrospec). And while this problem can indeed be solved, people learn a) at different paces and b) by different means (i.e. watching videos a couple of times or only by actually experiencing the fight x-times).
Just a proud bad-skilked player
Yes, actually. If you can't handle, "I shouldn't stand in a telegraphed area" while understanding the fight unfolding in front of you, then MMOs are not for you.No. Maybe in your own little world that's the case. The problem is, people like you think that the game is much harder than it actually is, and you give bad players passes for not being competent, when it should be a reasonable expectation. Hit buttons in correct order (not hard) -> don't stand in telegraphed areas -> stack or spread as visual indicators demand. That covers you for 99% of the mechanics you'll see, and it's all extremely simple and easy to process. If any players finds this too hard, you really need to re-think your decision to play video games, or at the very least, with others.

...paying attention to what exactly? As if the game explains to you all the mechanics immediately and you have no reason to fail Titan at level 30-something as a new player!
People should get off their high horses and realise that what other players do in their SOLO instances is none of their concerns. Besides, with the Trust system in place now there are less opportunities for hardcore meeting casual players.
If it was up to me I would even go as far as to split Duty Finder into "Hardcore" and "Casual" sections and be done with all the forum complains about "bad" vs "elitist" players.
If you can't intuit that telegraph = bad and if I stand in it something bad will happen, I don't know man. If you're not paying attention and discerning that, there are a lot less flattering assessments that can be made. So, yes, the game provides you with enough information, even for a new player. If you choose not to pay attention, to ignore that information, then that's on you....paying attention to what exactly? Not really on a high horse, I just have a basic, low expectation that players, even new players, have some basic problem solving and analytical brain functions. When players—again even new players—cannot use basic brain function to intuit some really obvious mechanics, it's not about elitism; it's about setting and expectation and standing by it. None of which is remotely unreasonable.
Well but you know, in this game, if a telegraph appears where you are standing, there is almost no chance you are not getting hit by it even if you are on the other side of the room when the ability goes off because of the lag. It's not "get out of the fire" that makes this game challenging, it's if you don't react instantly and correctly, you have no chance. I get hit every time in Titan because by the time I see the line appear on my screen, it's too late - I'm getting knocked off.If you can't intuit that telegraph = bad and if I stand in it something bad will happen, I don't know man. This is incredibly hyperbolic, or you have a really awful internet connection. Yes, the netcode in this game is awful, but if you react to the telegraph right when it comes out (not unreasonable), then you can avoid it. Every time. If you're on the other side of the room, consistently, when avoiding mechanics, it's your internet connection.Well but you know, in this game, if a telegraph appears where you are standing, there is almost no chance you are not getting hit by it even if you are on the other side of the room when the ability goes off because of the lag.
