The difficulty is optional, and there are 3 modes. If someone has a hard time with normal mode for any reason, they could try "easy" or "very easy", then choose normal mode again after they beat the other two, to see if they can do better after a tone down version that makes them feel more familiar with what the duty requires of them. It all depends on the person, as always.

These are the one-time (outside of NG+) solo duties in thr story.

There is no clearing and retrying, outside of NG+.

And if people can't clear it on normal, I highly doubt they'll actually try to clear it properly on the off-chance they try NG+.
