I've always felt that PvP could benefit from something that tracks individual contribution. Keep the PvP-centric rewards, the xp and wolf marks, based on whether your team wins, but things like tomestones should take into account how much you personally did. Point being if both sides fight hard, they both get tomestones and/or xp like they would if they'd put that effort into a dungeon, but someone just idling the whole match shouldn't get anything.
