Group A: you are a ff fan and you hate gobbue mount, you can't understand us but we're more right than you
Group B: you are a mmo fan and you like ez content and flashy stuff, everything that is cool looking should be added with no care into uh "lore" or "immersion"

How about the ppl who don't give flying load of bat crap what was 'right' in the past? I'm in group C: idc what SE does, as long as its fun, entertaining and challenging. Too many "don't change my perception of this series" BS flying around - its not your series to begin with and they can damn well do what they want to it.

My experience with group B players, that is - those that just want their favorite stuff from other MMO games brought into the latest MMO (which happens to be FFXIV), is that they often won't stick around very long.

These types of players will typically flock to the whatever the latest and greatest MMO happens to be. They have no real long-term interest in FFXIV or the franchise, nor do they care much about the craftsmanship that goes into the game.

Its the difference between wanting the game to be a piece of art, or a just a drug.

i agree, alot of people have played many MMOs and have tried and left this one.
the fans of the series are the ones who are in for the long haul and still, SE is doing its best to satisfy the ones who will be gone as soon as the next MMO comes out.
