Actually this is probably about the best way they could have accomplished making a Goobbue into a mount. While I can't say I was thrilled with the concept from its inception this is much better than I expected. I had visions of ridding them piggy back and this is more like Aladdin and the magic carpet.

This, just like I said. It's not valuable, long-lasting content. These people asking for it will only spend a small amount of time with them. Scrap it, work on chocobo raising/racing and other content instead. Those systems build on existing content and expand it, rather than making disposable, tacky COLLECT ALL TEH MOUNTS content.

When Square releases these, I hope there is a DAT mod (or even an official option - YES PLEASE) released swiftly made to turn them all into chocobos. That way those of us who didn't want this crap in our game don't have to see it.

It's a waste of development resources. With the amount of time spent on a goodbue mount, we could have been brought new NMs, more user friendly tweaks like the recently released repair system, or even some more man hours spent improving the soon to be released dungeons.

Also, it looks completely ridiculous with just the one mount pictured and will look much worse with 8 together. I do not want to see this crap, personally. This coming from someone who liked the design and behavior of goobues as mobs.
