Legacy Tattoo

I played when the game first launched and I am still using the same account and character. I don't remember doing to much of the story since I was lost in the game. I got my character to level 30 or so before moving my character to another server. I stopped playing the game once the free to play ended. So I probably played for about a year before quitting the game. Yesterday I was watching a friend streaming FFXIV and the legacy tattoo was mentioned. I had no idea what it was until they told me about it. Now I am trying to find out why I don't have it since I played the beta and played for about one year or more. Is there a way to find out why I am not legacy? Thank you for any help.

I think you suppose to either advance far in the MSQ or was around when the servers went down and saw the ending. If you stopped playing before then nope.

If your character was created during 1.0 type /legacymark. It'll appear on your upper back.

No, my legacy character was only maybe 20 when I had to quit due to finances. The Calamity happened before I came back so I never finished the story. She still has the tattoo. Only she of all my characters does though.

It has to the the 1.0 character, it's not account wide. If you are not finding it on your 1.0 character, I think it's possible to turn it on and off, but I dont know the command.

You had to pay for the subscription service for atleast a month if i recall correctly. If you quit during F2P mode and never came for for a sub you won't have the mark.

Pretty sure all 1.0 characters made any time during 1.0’s existence have the legacy mark. It’s just the other legacy rewards (e.g., Legacy Chocobo, discounter sub) that required participation in the Legacy Campaign to get (sub for 90 days during a special period). Try /legacymark or /lmark and see if the brand appears on your character’s back.

You had to be playing for a certain time frame after the game started charging for a subscription fee again. If I remember right it was either four or six months of paying for the sub to qualify for all the legacy bonuses.

No, I played at launch, paid for a month or 2, had to quit because I lost my job and was financially screwed for a while. I was able to come back when 2.0 launched. My 1.0 character has the tattoo. I did NOT play during the legacy campaign time, so dont have either of the mounts . Tattoo is for any character during 1.0, and has nothing to do with the campaign.

Your character does not have the Sixth Astral Era page, so doesn't look like she is a legacy character.

It had nothing to do with subscription length, that was the legacy campaign. The legacy mark is not part of the campaign.
You had to make it to the point in the story to get the mark. Uniting the GC's to stop Nael.
