As far as the OP was concerned, when they weren't getting the validation that they wanted they abandoned the thread. This thread could still serve as a heads up to others though, but it might be best to avoid responding to the OP. They bailed pages and days ago.
There's a typo somewhere or someone is making stuff up.To answer the OP here is what happened to my friend.
He did this a lot he skipped MSQ cutscenes. I warned him that it could be considered an exploit but he thought Nah itll be fine.
Well, this past monday he got handed a 30-day ban hammer. Why? Well they said he did an exploit he asked about the specific exploit and it was skipping the cutscenes.
I also had someone demand everyone do it and i said no and was kicked from the duty.
So you can get in trouble if someone reports you. That is your own risk.
Account Penalty Policy
■Types of penalty
There are six levels of penalty in ascending order of severity: "Caution", "Warning", "Temporary Service Account Suspension (3 Days)", "Temporary Service Account Suspension (10 Days)", "Temporary Service Account Suspension (20 Days)", "Service Account Termination".
GMs have no way of knowing whether your friend was intentionally disconnecting unless your friend was dumb enough to state so in chat, and as you mention, someone has to report it.
They aren't going to ban (without a warning) a group where all are in agreement to skip the cutscenes when they don't do anything about bots, RMT, account piloting, fraudulent purchases of Mog Station codes (theft), weekly tournament win-trading or any other number of infractions that have been going on in the open for the past several years that actually affect other players.
This is BLU EXP 2.0 (wonder how many in this thread took advantage of that). Got some people salty that the content isn't being respected.

Different teams handle each of those issues though. The Mogstation people are their own entity, as are the people who deal with the bots, and so on - with the team who apparently is given jurisdiction over the cutscene skips being /very/ proactive by comparison. It's one of the few infractions in this game where being reported for it enough times does seem to produce a temporary ban eventually, which is why so many people are trying to warn others away from doing it. There's a lot to be said about the efficiency of the other teams and how they handle the various infractions under their purview, and a lot of it would justifiably not be positive, but in this once instance it's best not to poke the proverbial bear. Especially when a group kick like that would also count as harassment depending upon the content of the chat log.
On the account level thing, they have jumped up the levels based on the severeity of your offense. I've known people who've gotten hit by the 3 day suspension despite it being their first offense ever. It's up to the discretion of the one reviewing your case.
I've also known a friend who got hit by the 3 day offense for cutscene skipping despite not having said anything in chat log, there's more data server side they can reference in cases like these to know if you're doing it intentionally or not. Also it wouldn't matter if the whole group agreed to skip or not, they're technically breaking the ToS in case a GM might have been watchin in the instance. And if everyone - x agrees, you'd better hope the x decides to not file reports.
They can do it at their own risk, but if they end up in Mordion Gaol they only have themselves to blame, literally no one else.
It's not worth risking an account for something silly like this. To each their own but I have way too much invested to even think this might be a good idea.
The rewards are based on you completing the dungeon and sitting through all the cutscenes. You're using a glitch to collect rewards without completing the requirements. Do you honestly think SE is going to consider that OK? Be completely honest.Hello, I was just wondering if skipping the MSQ cutscene's are against the rules. I seen some people doing it before and they told me how and it seem harmless enough but I'd like to be sure before I get my account deleted by doing something so harmless. (I'd explain how it's done but I don't want this post to get ban in the event that too is against the TOS) Would like for a Mod or GM to post weather or not I'm aloud to do it. (It's not some ground breaking bug or glitch that let's you skip by the way)
Staying online in a real-time online game is an, let's call it important, requirement.
What are your groups doing while your ISP disconnects you every 6 minutes?
Yes, in order of severity. There's a typo somewhere or someone is making stuff up.

If the person was chewing someone out, perhaps that would be a caution or warning.
Someone jumping through exploits would probably get that.
OP jumped ship though. Probably banned for all we know from trying lol.
She came here wanting validation from someone, and got no one.
I mean, this is just a little bit of common sense here.
You REALLY think it's okay to exploit stuff and risk someone reporting you?
Because some probably will. If you're coming on here the forums with doubts, then you probably shouldn't do it.
Not worth losing $13 or whatever amount of game time over it.
Take the time to do chores or something or don't queue up at all.
So thread summary, basically
OP: yo dudes can do this thing to skip cut scenes?
Everyone: nah that can get you banned it’s against the rules
OP: well what about these people who do these other things?!?!
Everyone else: well it’s still against the rules and bannable
OP: white knights!!!! Why did I even bother posting here?!?!?
Did I miss anything?
