MSQ cutscene skipping against TOS?

Hello, I was just wondering if skipping the MSQ cutscene's are against the rules. I seen some people doing it before and they told me how and it seem harmless enough but I'd like to be sure before I get my account deleted by doing something so harmless. (I'd explain how it's done but I don't want this post to get ban in the event that too is against the TOS) Would like for a Mod or GM to post weather or not I'm aloud to do it. (It's not some ground breaking bug or glitch that let's you skip by the way)

Its the reaction from those that abhor the change they made to make the cutscenes un-skippable since new players couldn't enjoy the story on their first clear. This problem was first made by them having been the most efficient tomestone farm back in the day. Then they made the roulette so people would keep queing it. Then enough people complained and they did it despite the outcry against it having been louder.

Reportable or not, I'm of the mindset that it just speeds up the clear so everyone can move onto the next thing on their to-do list so no harm, no foul. If the story is that important to someone the unending journey exists for a reason.

Immersion in an mmo is an irrelevant point given our mount selection and glamour options.

New players are there as part of the story, not as 'the next thing on their to-do list.' Forcing people to skip through all the cutscenes or making them miss all the fights if they want to watch the cutscenes is bringing harm to those players' experiences. So yeah, you're wrong. And you do realize that just because the cry against it was "louder" doesn't mean more people were against it than for it. Why does everyone always assume that just because they're louder they have more numbers?

To answer the initial question: it is a bannable offense. I know of people who have actually received temporary bans because of it.

If you press escape, it says "This cutscene cannot be skipped." So, any method enabling you to skip said cutscenes would be seen as unintended gameplay, aka an exploit. I also wouldn't expect a mod or GM to post about it here. When in doubt, don't do it.

It is a reportable offense, yeah. I wouldn't risk your account just to shave a few minutes off a roulette.

Yes, it is against the rules. It's an exploit. It had to be made this way because people were jerks and wouldn't stop harassing people new to the duties.

But they still can watch all of the cut scenes if they do not wish to skip. The only thing they would miss out on would be the boring fight's.

It doesn't matter. It is against the ToS. We don't make the rules, but we do have to follow them.
