And let's not forget that the response to tank imbalances was... adding a new tank. Which fixed most of their functional problems, all that remains now is flavor stuff (WAR and DRK being too similar, and GNB sounds).

Healers? No new class (even though Dancer could have been a great non-caster healer), and all existing healers are now immensely dumbed down and functionally identical in the name of balance.

So now instead of being different and unbalanced, they're identical, boring and still unbalanced.

Gee, I wonder why there's a 20 pages thread about healers quitting, but no other role has that.

With same passion this thread about Scholar has reached 20+ pages and there's been several threads reaching high post and view count, but now left abandonded. Can only wonder if it's people running out of steam as lack of official responses is like bringing up the issues to a stonewall or the usual pre-major patch lull. Speaking of, we're three months into Shadowbringers and a month away from 5.1. The brief mentions of ast's card and Sch's tooltips is the only thing I've come across concerning healers since 5.0's release. Now it's posting for either a canned company response of "We'll look into this" or "No, nothing is gonna change" for either some hope or closure.

Whole thing can be draining, but I only need to take a break to realize I haven't logged on for dailies of any kind in over a month and further rumination reminds me there are 25, and possibly more, things I would like to see returned or change about Scholar to bring back some needed color and life back to the job.

And the whole reason this thread was created as because it looked like it was only AST's left complaining and then suddenly, this thread explodes because we still here. :P I think there gets a point where you're basically repeating the same points over and over, though I think the forum still needs to stay on fire in hope SE look at it and think "we should address this".

As you rightly point out, they've not clarified really...anything...not even "we think the changes are fine". Some have indicated that maybe it's because they're doing something about it, but SE have always historically communicated when they think something is a problem and if they plan to address it or if they plan to look into it. Also at the same time, they also communicate when they think something is fine.

So the lack of response is kinda baffling. The healer questions in their Q&A's got huge upvotes and all right, some of these Q&A's like the one with Banri Oda might not have been the right place to address them, but I figure a follow up would make sense.

In the meantime, DPS players get countless promises of reworks, balance, streamlining...

The healer changes are maybe here to stay, but the healers themselves aren't.

Honestly im just tired of telling the devs how bad their changes to healer are. What's the use of coming to the forums to write down all the problems you have with the changes only to get a "We don't plan on changing anything, bit appreciated your feeback".

Also, while we are unhappy with healer changes DPS are getting constant reworks, and buffs to many classes, and even tanks are noted to be next in line.

Honestly if healers dont get something intresting and fun next expansion (like how they were in Stormblood) I think I'm done. They just dont listen to healer, or dont care

I wish they did, if I'm honest. The only thing I can think of is in the last live letter,or maybe the one before that(?), Where they said they have no intention of going back to the previous AST card system despite all the overwhelming negative feedback. But man, I'd at least take a "no" at this point so I can have so damn closure, but I suppose if I had that then I'd have no reason to stay subbed, so better to keep dragging us along.

The problem is, 4.0 WHM community was the only ones complaining about thier job gauge, the lily system was not inresting and it didnt offer nothing new to a WHM kit. the thread for WHM changes had had over 550,000 views and thousands of comments. mean while the SCH and AST was happy where they were at, hence you would think SE would LEAVE AST AND SCH ALONE, but they didnt they took away what made the jobs fun, and gave the WHM a boost in damage, a few OGCD's heals and spells with no mp cost adding to WHM endless pool of MP. WHM is sitting good right now and i dont want it to get any nerfs cause im tired of this leaving one job behind in certain classes.

SCH needs their Pets to matter, they want their damage kit back, if SE was scared to buff Selene because Selene affected the party, then why not let Selene buff the master, in damage, cast speed, extra mitigation, or whatever, this streamlining jobs it getting on my nerves.

Last time I felt joy was hitting 80 AST and getting Neutral sect. Doesn't feel enjoyment playing a healer while doing content other than savage. I struggle through the depression while doing my dailies as any healer of sort.
