she also said something about "so much utility", did i miss something ? like i seem to distinctly remember that mch utility is tactician, which is basically addle with longer cooldown , and bard can add a single target mantra to that list+paean which in a raid setting is about as usefull as a slow or the BLU death skill ? maybe i'm missing something here but i really can't find the utility these jobs offer

Well theories should base on practical experience at best... not always a must have, but if the theory is already false - the question got it’s right to be asked... : /

I mean in a lot of situations what you're saying would make sense, but you can't call the ranged role as a whole the easiest dps role if you haven't even bothered to level a single job in that category to 80 or heck even 70.

People shouldn't be allowed to generalize things that they have no knowledge of, plain and simple. It would be like me saying that Alphascape savage is harder than Gordias savage even though I haven't done any raids in either.

In context of your quote that is just rich considering past expansions smn had the raid dps and it's utility + movement and had higher dmg then that of blm.
The changes are not yet implement in this expansion for smn but if they follow their past pattern, smn will be buffed in dmg to be on par or perhaps surpass that of blm.

We all know how you feel about blm, you make it very clear every post there is mention of it..

All ranges will have a dps buff,
at this time the dps gap between the ranges ' BRD,MCH,DNC,SMN,RDM and the melee and the only casteur blm is too high.

the buff will be slight, and the dps of the monk and drg will be slightly decrease ( yoshida said melee dps are too strong )

and the melee will remain meta whatever happens .

Easy or not is not a reason to make 1500-2000 more dps.
