I have a rather simple question for you. What's the reason you're queuing for Alliance Roulette?

I know it wasn't directed at me, but if you don't mind my answer your question. It is named alliance roulette, so I would like to assume it would allow me to participate in one of the many alliance raids that are made available in the game. That and I find it is also in place to try and assist newer players or people leveling their alts to have a decent que time for getting through content they are interested in. (Plus, back in early ARR days, before the daily roulette system, people where no longer running old content because it just wasn't worth doing. So a lot of new players coming to the game where having issues getting through story dungeons. The roulette system was put in place with the rewards we now have specifically for the purpose of helping newer players/alts get through the content). It is why I have the beliefs that I do.


I understand there are a group of players that enjoy lowering their ilvl because they would much rather face roll through content rather than "waste their time", and while I respect that that they want to play the game their own way, I still think there should be some kind of system in place to make it more "roulette" like and less "Okay, so it's either WoD or LoTA today."

It's amazing how many people don't understand something this simple. Like I said, i like running Alliance Roulette. I don't enjoy a lack of variety in said roulette.

Okay. So, tomes/exp are just a bonus. Then, why not just queue for a raid you want to run instead of complaining about getting the raid you do not want in roulette?

That's a fair point. On one hand it's a good system in theory. Help newer people to run older content. It works to a point. On the other hand there are rewards as an incentive, but said rewards are the same no matter what the difficulty of Dungeon/Trial/Raid etc, etc. And that's where we are currently. People want rewards and do not want difficulty associated with obtaining said rewards.

I going to disagree, people want extremely easy content. Even if SE up the rewards I venture to say people will still be lowering their ILvL because the chance of not being available to clear certain raids is there (and is not the content is super hard or anything). Already happen with normal trials like Titania, it's not that rare having players leaving right away.

Someone used MSQ as an example with people leaving Castrum for Praetorium, they do that because both are equally easy and nothing else.

I've been playing long enough to remember when we didn't have dailies. When new players would come to the game and where pretty much screwed unless they were in an FC so that they could have people run them through the story dungeons. The whole daily roulette system was put in place to help address that problem before it became too much of an issue. The fact that people "cheese" the system nowadays the way that they do, in my opinion, defeats the entire purpose of why it was implemented to begin with. So again, I know these are my own personal beliefs, but this is why I stand by my argument as I do.

Personally I don't mind getting them often sine I love the Chrystal Tower raids. The only problem I have with them right now is how bad they sync us down. I mean just roll trough them with enough damage, barely worrying what the boss does or handling his mechanics at all makes me kinda sad. There are alot of interesting fights which new players will almost never get to experience properly since bosses all die so fast.

Come on SE you can do better than this.
