Funny...I said these exact things a few pages ago XD
It's a show of demand, and showing that there is a demand is an effective way of getting things done. I already mentioned the article I read before where Yoshi P said they were looking at the "temperature" of the feedback. Letting that go cold is counterproductive.
I did hear the dev team was planning or even working on things for the next expansion, so it may be possible they are working behind the scenes to add male viera and female hrothgar, but we just don't know.
If they are in fact already working on it...then literally nagging about it doesn't do anything or get them any faster. It's a show of demand, and showing that there is a demand is an effective way of getting things done. But like you said, we just dont know yet.
"planning to" does not equal "working on it."
I'm afraid I have to ask you to show official proof that they are currently and actively working on male Viera and female Hrothgar.
While I won't speak for the twitch chats or other websites, I don't see how respectful, short, and concise Q&A questions constitutes as "literally nagging". Nor do I see encouraging people to upvote such posts as nagging.
I said If silly. ""IF""
Encouraging Upvotes isn't related to what Im saying. Im saying the repeated Posts of "Male Viera" even after addressing that they can't make Promises about Male Viera, is pretty much Nagging them.
And Im speaking a hypothetical that if they are in fact working on it behind the scenes, then the Nagging isn't doing anything.
I would really love male Viera at least someday, even if its unlikely. (we just need more cute boy material in general)
Maaaaybe.
The benefit of not saying names, whether in lighthearted jokes or serious call-outs, is that it leaves it up to others to ask themselves if the message applies to them, "Am I doing this?" If you identify with what is described, then yes. If some other person reads it and thinks it applies to them because they have done exactly what is being described, then yes to them too. This way, I don't leave anyone out, or call out the wrong person, or unfairly target only one when others have done the same. And in this thread of more than one thousand pages, you know there's been more than one.
I know it may come off as passive-aggressive humor to some, but I'm just trying to be as fair as possible in my posts.
"DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME NOW, MOM?" *stomps over to bedroom*

Lore purists telling Square Enix they have to keep the original lore intact of content reimagined in later games don't get the point of the FF series. Reimagining stories, places, magic, races, and characters is part of the charm of Final Fantasy.
