But anyway since Viera only exist because they wanted to make an elf-equivalent race of girls with bunny ears for Final Fantasy Tactics Advance and the lore is the way it is only to support that initial concept. The reason they have more women than men is because in FFTA, all the races including humes were 1 gender. Everything else is wood elf tropes transferred to FF plus excuses to justify why we don't see the boys.

If there had to be a reason for why the male Viera are smaller, I'd say that instead of anything biological, it could be the fact that they live hard lives with a poor diet, since they're all alone in the woods and living off the land.

I'm still wondering whether female Viera's "official height" is actually their height while wearing their supposedly ubiquitous high heels, and male and female heights are actually equal.

(And yes, I know high heels don't change characters' height here, but it's a matter of whether their legs are modelled to be correct in heels and overly long in flat shoes, or correct in flats and shortened by the heels.)

I really don't understand the male rabbits are smaller argument. Viera are like 95% humans, 5% rabbits. And male homo sapiens are just bigger than females.

So the height difference is in the 5% rabbit part.

Either way, it's not like I really care. I'm going to be a max height bunny boy with long ears and since the community loves their victoria secret girls short, I'm probably going to be taller than most of them anyway.

Males aren't wearing the same type of shoes though. They could have but they didn't get it.

So right now, if both races are in their starter gear, the women are in heels (we have to assume by choice not body shape) and the men are in flat boots. The women may appear taller without actually being taller if they were on equal footing, so to speak.

The heeled sandals that are part of the smallclothes model aren't high heels, though.
