in wow you must sometimes jump to move forward in dungeon or raid, also some hurtful abilities can be dodged by jumping. jumping s important and can add dept to combat. embrace it or go back to bed.

Blizzard designed the game to utilize Jump -- Most MMOs do not, they use it as only an animation and like the Goobbue mount, Jump in XIV will just be for fanservice, an animation only.
