The development team are already stretched thin as it is. I'd quite like them to focus on designing more masculine looking gear, hairstyles and customisation options for male characters instead of spending time unlocking the ability for male characters to wear more dresses.

I'm still waiting for the stubble used in promotional footage to be made available. I'd also like more effort to be put into the male exclusive hairstyles and NPC outfits. Hien's outfit suffers from alarming texture issues and doesn't come with his hairstyle.

total agree male only gear. through there few already cid outfit I think it only fair to have more male only gear. here few suggest Sifler for ffviii Zell for same game

to be honest they should gender lock Cloud gear Squall gear Zidane gear and give the female equal, Rinoa gear Tifa gear Dagger gear. the Indian chief gear should be a male only gear. they made Lightning gear female only they should done same to the other I want lightning awesome shield for ffxiii-3. More character creation options are a limitation of the engine and therefor much less likely to happen then seeing gear reworked to not included locked genders (also, something the directer already said they are slowing working towards). So you will probably be able to wear a dress before you can wear stubble. Personally, I would like to see both, but unlocking genders on gear is the more feasible at this time.

It actually is exactly a fallacy: It's called the Slippery Slope fallacy

The post that was called a "fallacy" was in no way a fallacy. I'd like you to go back and explain to me specifically how it IS a fallacy. I've directly engaged the issue and said exactly why I don't want them to release gender locked gear. There was no hypotheticals in that post. There was a compromise, but no hypothetical.

The post that was called a "strawman" was partially a strawman I'd admit, and I never said it wasn't. But I've clarified my point 10x over since then.

I'm not the one avoiding the issue, you people are so insistent on semantics despite the fact that I've talked about the issue repeatedly, I really don't know what else you want from me.

One of the reasons I want the gender lock removed in the first place is because several pieces of the female only mog items have similar unisex pieces in game.

All the male classic Scion gear is unique. While the female versions can easily be remade. They even added a altered dalmatica. Basically Y'shtolas shirt without the goggles. Yda's set is basically a turban, DoW shirt and cobalt greaves.

The new crafted glamour jacket is basically a dyeable closed version of Lyse's jacket.

The Eastern Lady's Togi looks pretty similar to the Ao Dai

And I think removing restrictions would allow players to look even more unique by mixmatching different sets.
