Me personally I don't care either way, a small pull is fine, especially if I'm on healer cause I can relax and do more dps but I trained to heal the big pulls as well cause I know their the norm and I wanna try to play my job the best I can.

Big pulls are fine cause things get done faster and I can move on to my other stuff, but I'm more stressed healing those cause I'm a healer in training and trying to get over my dear of healing, healxiety I got pretty hard, but so far on a big pull I've trained to were I'm starting to dps more instead of freaking out if tank isn't at least 75% to 100% health, I try to keep All my players at 100% health at all times and to dps when I can.

But if I'm on tank or dps I'm fine either way big or small pulls, but people que'n up for duty finder should know that you are taking chances here and you agreed to it when accepted duty and if you don't like how slow the dungeon is going or being expected to do big pulls then you can always quit that duty and do it in a of or grab some friends/fc mates.

I could say lot more and there is more I haven't covered with my opinion but I feel like I've written a book already lol.

The question is misleading at best, how does everyone approach the conversation of slow pulls?

Is the tank someone who pulls one mob at a time and afks to watch Netflix while giving the group a bad attitude akin to "you don't pay my sub"? That's not ok.

Is the tank politely telling the group that they are new to or uncomfortable with the instance and would like to take it slow? That is very much ok.

I don't mind it. As a healer I find it really stressful when I have to blow all my cooldowns on every single pull just to keep the tank alive. That experience is better in moderation.

Of course, it also depends on the tank.

Whatever the party decides to do in Duty Finder matching is fine. Pull small or everything, the group is assigned randomly and you get what you get. However, I find small pulls extremely boring as any role. I'd rather wipe to overpulls than pull small as well, it's more fun to try something challenging and to fail than to do something that doesn't require any effort. I won't say anything if a tank pulls slowly though, it's completely up to them.

I have a problem with people that don't care about being an asset to their party and are completely fine with being a liability.
Then hop in a Party Finder and dont waste a PUGs time with encouraging wipes.

I actually enjoy the odd occasion when I get a chill tank. The way the new dungeons are laid out, and how trivialized old dungeons are, make it all to easy to aoe everything. It's gotten incredibly boring to ignore most of my single target skills outside of raids and bosses.

Actually if you feel that strongly about it then just play a tank role!
Then you can pull as big as you like.

    Otherwise...

Trusts were made for the exact reason of taking your own pace through a dungeon without asking 3 others what to do.

Coincidentally, the Trusts are basically those who "want to take it slow", and if you find you don't like that, rethink your position the next time you queue up for a dungeon and feel like single pulling.

To add, as far as we are into the expac, people that normally don't tank are still testing the waters thanks to them adding gunbreaker. I've a friend who played DPS her entire FF14 career so far and is just now really trying tanking, and it's irksome when she says she's new to tanking and people still try to outpull her because she's getting a feel for not just the job but tanking in general. You don't switch to tank and instantly have the confidence and skills to do wall to wall, esp in leveling dungeons when your party members are synced but you're at level, so I wish folks would calm down over it.

I like how the implication here is that everyone else would have to ask 3 others what to do but the tank totally doesn't have to.
