    It's curious as this seems like a problem they created themselves on for example Scholar. Instead of introducing new traits on shields, fairy and aetherflow worked, or the other healers unique mechanics, they came up with entirely new skills that seemingly had to fit no matter what. Certainly doesen't help they relegated the remaining fairy skills of the pet hotbar, leaving it with 10 free slots that are just sitting there.

    Stranger even is the longer silence from SE with barely a word about any of the healers. 5.08 came and went with no healer changes or mentions. Just gonna keep on seeing if any chance presents itself again to get the questions across here.

    I haven't stopped healing, but I'm sort of winding down on playing altogether now.

    I started the game in Stormblood, reached Scholar as fast as I could and played it until the end of the game. It was fun doing story. You could lay down shadow flare, spread some dots around, dancing with your opponents around the bubble, soloing was fun.. I never even played Summoner. Healing was great, too, the fairy was really responsive and it was fun to practice positioning it and working as a team.

    Then I switched to Astrologian. Being able to work with what you got in the card system was really fun, so was lining up all kinds of different buffs with time extensions, choosing an opportune time to stack up a bunch of stuff or stop a fight with the stun you had..

    I feel like the tactical play and fun of both classes has been severely reduced. They're still effective to play as healers, but there's a distinct lack of depth and variety in gameplay. They're not classes I feel like I can play for years and years anymore. Astrologian was so amazingly fun.

    I've tried playing Dancer and Red Mage to find something new, but healing with these classes that had unique gameplay elements is what was really interesting.. On top of that, the content I really liked to play like Orbonne Monastery is now "old stuff" and there's nothing to replace it with yet. Actually, there's just very little end game content.. A few Edens per week, 3 level 80 dungeons.. Combine that with the hollowed out healers, and I just am not enjoying this expansion as much as the older game. I think if there's no real response from them on the gameplay issues soon, and nothing new in 5.1, it's going to be time to move on.

    I’ve hit that point where I see all of the Hero in Need: Healer in DF, my hand hovers over it, then I just go “nah.”

    I would currently rather wait for 15 minutes as Dancer than go into expert as a healer. ╮(︶︿︶)╭

    My Sub is going to end soon, won't re sub anymore, I liked to do progress as a healer and I got bored to tears with all 3 of them, gonna keep an eye on the main patches notes but I don't have any high hopes for any improvement to any of them, especially AST who I loved but now is long gone, probs will sub back after 5.3-4 just because of the NieR Collaboration otherwise I wouldn't even bother until 6.0.

    not really, but I leveled up SCH to 80 first, and would probably catch up with AST and WHM soon. I considered myself AST main for most of SB, but I generally just like to play casters/support classes. can't say I truly enjoy healing recently, but I don't hate it enough to just focus on DPS

    My story is very similar. Not exactly happy with the changes but they are not bad enough to make me quit over it. My main healer in SB was WHM though and the only reason i'm not playing it as my main healer anymore is because I already have a WHM in my static so I've been focusing in relearning AST so I can cover whenever one of my healers are unavailable.

    with that said I would like to drop this here....

    I go through phases. I would love to be a main healer, but I also have a ton of fun with the 3 ranged. I think I will split main in SHB between healer's and phys ranged. So far I have WHM and Sch at 80. I still have no clue what I am doing on sch so I am maining WHM until I get more familiar with SCH.

    i gave up on healing this expansion, i been healing since 2.0, Sch main with Whm as a back up. SE has completely ran out of ideas to make jobs unique, all healers lost their identity by stripping the Whm to fill Role actions, Sch lost its Selene to Seraph who offers nothing new with the same potency's as a 2.0 Pet, and Ast cards system and mp management is to much of a headache to keep up with. Out of the role action Repose sucks, Esuna is not needed if all healer had their remove a detrimental spell back, Rescue recast time should be lowered to 120sec. lucid Dreaming should turn back to Saints of Shroud and given back to Whm while returning Quicken Atherflow trait to Sch, and for Ast they should get back 200 mp for each card played and 500 mp for ever Divination. i want my jobs to be fun and unique, jobs will never be balance do to META followers , it would be best to make all jobs fun, unique and stripped of all utility. Placing all utility in Role actions for healing only with 3 slots open, a damage buff, defense buff, and a support buff.

    I was with you until here. If you take all utility away from the AST card system, and you'd have to to make this work, what would be left?

    Personally, I'd put role actions as raise, swiftcast(already there), esuna (already there), cure/physick/benefic/whatever you want to call your basic heal, and maybe a mitigation buff. Maybe. Stuff that you can't be a healer without. While I miss the aesthetics of each healer having their own status removal spell, I understand why they made it just esuna. It's something every healer needs so there's no real point in having it divided. (Although it would be nice if each healer had a unique animation for each role action, to keep with the class theme).

    If you homogenise the things that healers absolutely can't do without, you then have more free reign to design their kits to be different and interesting.

    I quit healing too. Use sch sometimes to help my friend with dungeons to lvl up his drk, but i mostly use gunbreaker now. I had some class i loved to play like (other than heal) smn but i cant even understand what happened with it anyway.
    No pet anymore? So much a joke. And there is some other classes what i dont like cause of the nerfs they called rework but im too lazy now to write long explanations.
    I think everybody knows what happened with the reworked classes....
