Two months into Shadowbringers, do you find yourself still using Trusts?

Used Trusts today for the first 71 dungeon and it was so freaking slow even with me doing the best I could. Sure its good if you need a guaranteed instant access but almost 30 minutes seemed a bit much for my liking. Maybe it was my choice of Trusts mixed with Urianger dying to the last boss at 50% from not moving.

I use them. It's nice way to level jobs I'm not comfortable with yet, or DPS roles I don't want to wait for duty finder to pop. I can afk to get a drink and no one will throw a fit. So yeah, diligently using them while leveling alt jobs.

I used the trusts to level all my classes to 80, so me personally, I really do like them. (+ daily roulettes, from 70 to 80 it took me 1 1/2 days to level one class)

Thanks to the buff in exp I was able to get them all to 80 and level Dark Knight, Redmage and scholar/summoner with it. Now I will wait until I have the next job at 71 and will level that with the trusts that I want to use. So yes I will be using them in the future and have changed my view on them a bit. First I was skeptic if the work put behind them was worth it but I really enjoy not needing to do stuff with other people, to try out new jobs and to try out tanking without the added stress of real people judging me for that. So I guess I would love to get them in lower content too, because after leveling a lot of other jobs to 50 with squadrons I really see the improvements that the trust have over them. They might be slower but at least I dont feel like every trash pull (as a tank) could be my end.

(I still hope that they one day adjust the healer AI for squadrons because its just garbage imo)

I wish that we will get the crystal exarch and Lyna again..it was really sad to not have them at least in the first dungeon as an option.

But even if they are slow and a big mistake on your part might end the run, they are perfect in learning mechanics. I was able to watch Alphinaud and coping him by some bosses and thus started to learn the mechanics way better. Of course some of them sometimes die but most of the time if a run ends, its because I did the mistake.

i ran holminster switch once and it took 2-3x longer than if i were doing it with live players. i would have to do it 3 more times in order to level them so they would be able to do the level 73 dungeon.

at that point i'd rather eat a bullet than waste my time like that. daily roulettes are much better for getting a job to 80

I haven’t used trusts, not even once. Would much rather take the queue time and play with a real party. I also don’t want to be 80 and not know how to play the class at least a bit, don’t see the point of having the job leveled without any real party experience. It’s less important for dps but tank/healer it’s vital.

you still learn how to play your class tough, its not deep dungeon.

Maybe you should try it before commenting about how they don't work. You can learn a lot about your classes playing with them prior to entering into DF content. Are they a must, no, but there sure are a very nice addition to the game. Squadrons were a waste of time in my opinion when it came to actually running content.

I want to. I really do. I want to level them up. I want to use them to level up my jobs that I want to get to 80.

I can't bring myself to do it. They're just so ungodly slow. I've fallen asleep about 3-4 times trying to get through Holminster with them, which sadly results in them getting 0 experience.

Compare that to squadrons with which I recently got the achievement for running 100 dungeons with them. I've leveled four jobs from 20-60 in the last month with my squad. Love squadrons. Hate trusts.

I've enjoyed Trusts for what they are. I've used them to trial run each dungeon as I like going in blind and experiencing things fresh. It kept me from annoying others with that playstyle and allowed me to dictate the pace, enjoy the scenery and even the banter of the NPCs. I wish they could be used in dungeons with notes around because I'd like to actually read them.

I've gotten half of them to 80 and am working on another job to 71 to get the other half to 80. I think they're a fun alternative to leveling if you don't feel like dealing with other people or if you want some glamour, GC Seals or something. It's great for the role players out there too.

I do, however, wish we had more Trusts to select from and more content to use them in. Non-leveling dungeons, trials and even some overworld content would be really appreciated. It not being only solo content would be nice too. I'd enjoy just bringing one other friend for Trust stuff.

Also pointed out earlier in the topic but side quests involving them would be great. Unlocking a new outfit, skill or portion of their AI would be fantastic.
